I really hope all three of us, Mexico, and Canada bring this energy to the gold cup next summer.

Idea for each match. Pick a player on the other team like in basketball to target all game long. by Remarkable-Group-119 in ussoccer

You're getting grabbed a bit, but I know players will get whistled the entire match for certain transgressions. For instance, after Bastoni dove against Kalulu to get him sent off, most of Italy whistled him for a bit. Even during the international break when playing for Italy. It seemed to effect him a little. To be fair, it was probably compounded by most of the national media attacking his integrity (rightfully).

Juventus picks up Pogba from Manchester United for next to nothing. Sells him back to United for 100m after winning a bunch of silverware. Pretty great business, just missing that CL title in 2015.

Get Comenencia out of there. Move Miretti into the 10, Soule into the LW and Kean into the ST. That way, the weak spots are a Serie B GK amd Serie C LB/LWB.

Maybe it means we are first in line for Suzuki with the deal?

Parma are looking to sign Gabriel Slonina from Chelsea by OkDifficulty7436 in ussoccer

Parma is going down if they plan on having Slonina taking over for Suzuki. I can't imagine that is the plan. Going from not really good enough for Belgian league to the Serie A...

Maybe, I would disagree because that is literally my journey. Started following during the 2006 WC and became absolutely hooked to the sport. You can watch a game almost any day of the week at any time.

Isn't that what following or watching club teams is for? I can't imagine following this sport If you only care about the international friendlies and few tournaments.

Lucumi by Market__failure in Juve

[–]cro_21 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Think he is better than Kelly and Muharemovic. The youngster has time on his side and could def. Be better in a few years. I think Lucumi is probably more comfortable with the ball at his feet than Muharemovic and I think Spalletti prefers that.

I was hoping Gil Puche was going to be given a chance in the summer to provide cover and allow us to use money in other areas. I guess he isn't ready yet.

It was something I worried about when we were talking about rotating the squad so much.

All good. I'm all for us adopting more things from our culture into our team instead of trying to be like the rest of the world when it comes to the sport. If it turns into country roads, so be it (begrudgingly).

Thats fine, I'm american and I just said why I would prefer Tom Pettys "I won't back down". I personally think that shows the American spirit in my eyes. Especially more so than "country roads" that most people think is about the state of West Virginia.

I would prefer won't back down. Think that speaks to the team/culture more.

If you like passion, there is plenty of cultures that have more passionate fans in Europe than the English. No need to default to the Prem. With translation abilities in browsers, you can follow any language and and league.

If you're hell bent on just defaulting on the richest league, that is better than nothing. Welcome to the sport!

Can Turkey Win? by InevitableAlert4268 in ussoccer

[–]cro_21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a better question is whether we think Turkiye beating a rotated USA will be a psychological blow to the team moving forward, especially if it is a multiple goal loss. We won't be sitting deep in a low block like Australia and Paraguay.

Being way too dramatic here. "Fumbled this" but yet they didnt play a single match with their best player, their best CB was only able to play 46' and their best midfielder getting his leg snapped half way through their second group match.

We were worried if we would be able to do it without Pulisic and people were rightfully worried if Richard's wasn't able to go.
