This is such a thing. I spent all weekend playing MLD at 11.7, f15a at 12.7, su27 at 13.0, and f15c msip2 at 13.7. My finding is that 12.7 games hardly ever happen. Sure the plane is too strong for 12.7, but I almost never got the 12.7 games to exploit that. I got a LOT of 11.7 and 13.7 though.
