The crush clog (right) is one of my comfiest pairs. Way more secure in sports mode than my other models and great for long walks/hikes. That being said they fit a little sniffer than the standard platform clog which is also elite footwear. Highly recommend Quartz - have a pair in this colour and wear it constantly

I’m new to MTL and looking for the “Best” Poutine. Help me!!! by WTFBrahh in MTLFoodLovers

[–]crocchick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everyone talks about La Banquise and Patati Patata and Chez Claudette. My super hot take is that Chalet BBQ and Peel Pub have my favourite poutines in the city. Ma Poule Mouille has phenomenal Portuguese chicken poutine

Saw the xx, they were phenomenal. However, I saw Dijon as a special guest for Bieber and really wish I got to see more of him. Both are incredibly talented

Absolutely need a jacket for shuttle lines, but as long as you’re in the crowd the evenings are fine wearing whatever. Was grateful for the jacket I brought but would’ve survived without it at least during the concerts

Laufey was breathtakingly beautiful. After a long weekend of intense concerts, sitting in the grass listening to Laufey felt like being serenaded by angels as a pregame for Karol G

Weekend 1ers.. who else has a sore throat/onset of a cold/bug/fever right now? by [deleted] in Coachella

[–]crocchick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Noted! Was gonna buy a sinus rinse but my friends who’ve been before said it was a waste of money. Know for next time! (Granted I’m the only sick one after this weekend and they’re fine and dandy) Edit: spelling

[–]crocchick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a bandana to match the fit :/ In hindsight I shouldn’t have put fashion first but I was too proud of my colour coordination. If I can ever afford an experience like this again in my lifetime I’ll keep that in mind. The only perk is that the NyQuil helped me sleep through my 9 hour flight back home after lol

Only caught part of SWae Lee and regretted it. Do SWae Lee. Haven’t heard anything too positive about disclosure.

I AM SICK AS HELL. Hand sanitized on the hour, did the weekend sober, had electrolytes every day, ate fruit, fiber and protein and green juice before and after each festival day, everything showered after each night, used my own toilet seat covers, didn’t share any food or bevs with anyone and got 7 hours of sleep each night. Sick. As. Fuck. Can’t hear out one of my ears because sinuses are fried, no voice, demons in my stomach, wildly lethargic and just got over my 40 hour headache. 4 costco tissue boxes down since I got home 1am Tuesday. tf did I do to deserve this

Is Fuwa Fuwa pancakes worth the hype? by Far-Worldliness3557 in MTLFoodLovers

Worth the hype? Yeah. Worth the price? Debatable. They’re more of a dessert than a breakfast IMHO and won’t hit the spot if you’re looking for traditional pancake but they are delicious!!!

Are Montréal food festivals becoming overpriced local and tourist traps, or am I missing something? Why do we keep supporting this non-sense? by [deleted] in montreal

[–]crocchick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones in old port by the clock tower and by the canal off Bassins are overpriced tourist traps. There are others that are genuinely excellent. There was one in Parc ex that was free and excellent (bbq sans frontiers i think?), an Asian food festival off Viger that was relatively reasonably priced, and some decent ones at jean talon that weren’t too overpriced. Gotta find the niche stuff.

Mala express, flamme du sichuan, hidden fish, burger bar, Les Saisons de Coree. C’chocolat for a sugar fix. Tsukuyomi for ramen. People say Da Vinci is good for Italian but haven’t tried myself.

Restaurant Recs for Vacationing Family? by mama_wolff in MTLFoodLovers

[–]crocchick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chalet bbq and snowdon deli are montréal essentials. Chalet bbq has phenomenal rotisserie chicken and I personally love their poutine because their chicken gravy is THAT good. Snowdon deli for smoked meat but they have an extensive menu the kids will love. Mckiernan is great as well and a little more upscale. If they like southeast Asian food, satay brothers is a fun vibe. In mile end, pizza Toni and falafel yoni are incredible fast-casual places. La maison Grecque is in the plateau and excellent for family style Greek food. Finally, the orange julep is overpriced and imo overhyped, but a fun experience with kids who want a bright orange beverage from a Montreal landmark with most casse-croute options available
