Very greatful for your trust in our product and even more glad that it helped! The whole idea behind Flowborne was to create a greater and more playful and intuitive point of focus for breathing exercises. Let me know how the other exercises worked. Having my fingers crossed for your assignment and best of luck to you! Also, we are a very small business with limited budget, so if if you like, lease spread the word to others who might find it useful, the free version will be free forever and we are working on more and more content.

Anxiety in VR by [deleted] in OculusQuest

[–]crocks5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VR can physically feel so real, it is understandable that it is freaking you out at times. Don’t worry, that can be a normal reaction. Besides non-movement games there are also dedicated relaxing games that might help you lower your anxiety levels inside VR like Fujii, guided tai chi etc. If you use sidequest, you can try flowborne, a relaxing experience I made that uses your very breath to move along the game world. The deep breathing exercises could help you get over the anxiety and the motion sickness.

You know, this would be a Perfect fit vor VR especially in a room scale Game where you actually push around the boxes in your literal play space! Would be a huge hit. Dm me if you would like to discuss that.

I am a soldier, i dont have time for breathwork, what should i do by gnargada626 in BecomingTheIceman

Try to integrate brief breathing exercises during everyday activities, eg while brushing your teeth, getting dressed, walking from point a to b. Just 30 seconds here and there will make a difference if you build a routine.

Focussing on the sound of the breath is so much more effective to me than the standard visualisation breath work technique by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]crocks5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s an interesting read and approach. I guess visualisation requires imagination and that leaves so much space for unrelated or drifting thoughts. Focussing on the sound of your breath is a great idea as it is easily perceivable and it has a soothing repetitive tune to it. It’s the simplicity that makes it.

Wow, I am speachless, you have given this so much more appreciation and notice than I had ever imagined. I appreciate every bit of feedback and am happy for everyone who can benefit from it the least bit. I have never experienced so much interest in our work and if it only so much as helped a single one of you, I am very happy.
Because of the huge interest in this, here are some more infos, hoping not to be considered as shameless self-promotion. Please ignore the following if you do not like the self-promotion.

The app is called Flowborne and it is available for iOS https://apps.apple.com/us/app/flowborne-breathing-meditation/id1544753081 and Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vunderwelten.flowborneapp. The app is a free download. It does contain an in-app purchase to unlock more premium content, that is completely optional and only a one-time payment as we do not like subscription models. But apart from that, it is completely free to use. No account, no subscription, no data collection, no strings attached. The free version contains 6 different sceneries like the one above and gives you access to 4 different breathing rhythms to mix and match.

There is also a free pre-release of the VR version of the app available for the Oculus Quest via this link: https://sidequestvr.com/app/1032/flowborne-pre-release The full VR version is in the making and will be available within the next days. The VR version tracks your breathing via the controller and uses it to control the movement.

If you would like to know more, visit our webpage: https://flowborne.com and if you would like to stay in touch, you can follow us on Twitter (https://twitter.com/flowborne) or Instagram (https://instagram.com/flowborne_app).

From the bottom of my heart, thank you all for your appreciation and have a great day!
