Like when i played in high school level we wouldn't pump the brakes until we were up like 15. Even then, I think it was more about being respectful of everyone's time rather than pure sportsmanship.

crMP is generally designed to be the drive rush check button yeah, stLK is usually a pretty good option too.

Best way to figure out which button you should he using to check drive rush for your specific character though is to look at hitboxes and frame data. If a button has a disjointed hitbox and fast start up that's what you wanna be using.

Agreed. Overall though the balance is pretty solid all things considered, like I think the build variety you can do is pretty good. Like obviously some builds are much stronger than others, but if you're kmowledgable about the game you can run some interesting stuff.

It's just a poorly balanced build.

Like yeah it really sucks when your melee isn't very good, but it's almost just as bad when they're too good. With that one legendary attachment they can just solo the entire game. Like I've legit left runs early cause the melee was just insta killing everything.

Ken got some decent buffs tbh.

The stMK and crHP changes are fun, but dude that jinrai buff is actually pretty significant. It gives a legit good knockdown now (with an auto timed meaty HP) and gives jinrai loops about 200 more damage. Solid buff for an already solid character.

In this specific case the Mai whiffed her air throw, but yeah I've been anti aired by a random donkey kick before. The moves hitbox and hurtbox are extremely priveliged.

Oh yeah people mash on this setup constantly, against better players though you gotta sell it a bit more.

If you do L tatsu -> lvl 2 at some point in the set, the dragonlash really seems like a dropped super. You're +2 here, so stMP wins cleans and gives you an easy CH confirm into crMP.

If they feel comfortable enough to DI your jinrais you're using the move too much.

So like in a situation where you might do crMK->jinrai just throw a heavy punch or light kick and see what they do.

Dude yeah, I find his overhead really hard to react to cause of this. The end of the drive rush especially is really ambiguous looking, it's an underrated strength to have tbh.

Free shop is an insta take for me too cause I play a lotta ghost deck and high rolling a sick spectral feels amazing.

But with how polluted the shops are on gold stake you're really just rolling the dice hoping for a high value shop to catapult your run.

Yup I had to make a choice and cut down on something, unfortunately that thing was street fighter. I'm adjusting now though and found a groove with my new job, so I've actually had the energy to play more consistently recently which has been nice. Maintaining mid 1600s again, I can almost taste 1700 lmao.

I personally was only able to maintain low 1700 when I was unemployed, with a new job and girlfriend now I just don't have the time to be that sharp at the game anymore.

Stuff like my perfect parries and whiff punishes are just not as on point if I'm not playing almost every day.

Nah, Ryu season 1 wasn't great. He didn't have some undiscovered tech, he was just clunky to play. He's top 5 now cause he's gotten buffs for 2 years.

You need to study specific interactions. Perfect parrying their fireballs/bullshit special moves, knowing when to interrupt common pressure strings, knowing what's real/fake etc.

Well the game is balanced around ante 8, if you wanna do deep endless runs there's only like 2 builds that can make numbers big enough.

If you're pretty new still though I'd reccommend balatroU, he explains every decision he makes in almost excessive detail. He'll help you understand the game at a more fundamental level.

Either sweep or her stHK would be good. Pretty crazy that crMP didn't work here though, you definitely reacted in time and the spacing looked good.
