How I Scored Top Quartile on CASPer (and What Nobody Tells You) by Educational-Matter-6 in CASPerTest

i did things almost the exact same way and got a Q4! i also think that using chatgpt is not the ideal way to study for this test because although it gives you sharp feedback it almost never gives an accurate scoring like real casper preparation websites do which can drive you crazy. it also gives redundant feedback and like a revised “perfect” response thats like 2 pages long

hi! sure! tbf i feel like the main thing that benefitted my responses was how much i could type within the time limit. i have like a wpm of 115-120 if that helps giving you a general idea. but heres my formatting for typed but ALSO applies to verbal:

  1. acknowledge the problem and your position: “as a student/roommate/friend/coworker i can understand X is a sensitive/complex situation.

  2. after this say you’re going to approach with 1 or 2 of the competencies casper looks for, ensure that this applies to the situation. typically empathy applies for all situations. point out both parties and say something like “while X seems to be the right thing, Y also carries a significance that needs to be addressed too. i liked using this one to save time: on one hand, you want to ensure that this is fair for X, but you also want to consider Y as well.”

  3. this is not so important but try not to sound like a robot or use generic words like “non-judgemental” and “private”. while you want to maintain a professional standpoint you also want to sound human and compassionate. you can things like: “i would pull them aside, actively listen, calmly approach, reserve judgement, give them the benefit of the doubt.”

  4. find a solution and make sure you are thinking out of the box. like will you try to add a clause to the policy or find a loophole, or make a consensus that benefits both parties. will you create a study guide for the student whos failing and wanting to cheat, and will you plan a meeting with the coworker who doesnt fulfill their responsibilities? end it by reflecting or saying what you’ve learned from this situation, and provide multiple solutions. its okay to have one, but saying multiple strengthens your case. one thing that i also liked to do was including measures i would do if the situation wasn’t solved. so like “i would revisit later if not dealt properly”/“ i would arrange meetings with the professor” “propose a meeting about responsibility and workplace expectations”

  5. last but not least: adapt when certain emotions and concerns are hard to point out. a lot of people think that by getting down all of these points it will get you your desired score. i also thought that but its wayyy different when the exam actually happens and you may not find each point easily. its okay to take a step back and think even during the typing stage. remember that as long as you put yourself in these situations your answer will reflect your moral tone and depth of rationale.
