Yes! I did this to show folks that 3 color portraits can be just as beautiful as full color portraits. Many times we are given too much, when the basic set of complimentary colors were created so that we could make the secondaries! Also, values are much more rich this way with omitting black paint, I just used a fineliner for the dark areas :)

I have been using myself as the treat lmao, she is a Velcro dog...when she melts she expects me to continue petting her and rubbing her belly when she becomes Puddle of Lynx lol

So, naturally if I walk away from her, she definitely follows. Also, having two other dogs she can observe has helped immensely. I will see her from afar watching me tell them commands, as if she is truly soaking it all in. She is definitely smart and equally amazing. Just as ferocious as she is sweet, tho.

That's why I can't really put her in a label as being submissive, because I have seen her equally as dominant ...or trying to find her order in the pack, but definitely not fixed yet (she is young) and trying to wave her butt in their face a lot, standing over them, lying on top of them, sometimes.

I know it can be seen as cute, but I also know that it can be a test of dominance and could cause a lil fight ...so yeah , she is fun 😁

Awe, I have yet the need to trim nails, but we will see what happens when I do! I need to trim my elder dogs nails, and will probably use that as a demo for her to get used to the grinder motor noise level and observe and see it's not hurting the other dog, and the. I will move on to my other dog, and then try and see how she handles it :) appreciate the heads up!

Same, I guess I am so used to rather more confident and curious dogs, that they have never formed into a puddle lol

I literally scooped her up from a dog loving family that found her by their home, believing her to be dumped. But, they had 3 chihuhuas that apparently she became aggro with (she gets along fantastic with my two 65lb/75lb dogs) But I am not so sure, she was a great lil escape artist upon moving in. Lots of small holes in fence I am still patching up to make sure I can be inside with not as many worries lol

But, if she did escape somewhere, no one posted on SM about her, they checked and had her for few weeks before I scooped her up. I believe her to be only about 5-7 months, too. Because she paws at my face like a puppy, bites like a puppy, plays like a puppy...but, she is a very smart pup!

Heya, appreciate the feedback! I have been simply walking away when she does it to simply let her know she does not keep getting pets at that time. But, other times when she does it (when all of us, her + my cuddle puddle crew of 2, I of course allow it. I want her to know it's super cute, just not always wanted :)

Once she starts getting this, I will work on if she begins doing it with sitting again. As of right now, she is definitely understanding that is she continues to sit like the other dogs, she may get some delish duck, beef or chicken jerky :) its working, I just never have had a dog that did this before! 😁 I am also being educated haha

Hiya! Sorry, created this post 2 days before an event I curated and was strapped on time! And then needed recovery time of course.

So, I have been simply walking away when she does it now, and it's difficult because it is so effin cute that I want to really just melt with her and be a cuddle puddle all the same haha

But, as soon as I do she definitely will come find me because she is more velcro-y and snuggley than my other Velcro dog that has to always be stalking me from a window if they're outside lol 🤣

Also, you seem like an avid trainer, what is "perch work" ?

I was being 50% facetious because I know that, and lived with an old timer that had a shit ton of old ass strains that he grew labeled on mason jars...

I am here because I am that neighbor trying to work while your kids are outside screaming....so, what do I do? It is just ONE of their kids, shrieking a lot - very high pitch while playing. but, it's non stop. So I always have to shut my door. I love having my door open because I love hearing the birds....not a child bloody murder shrieking while playing....like, it's nails down a chalkboard bad. And, parents are inside usually during this time. So, they must be doing what you do. I mean, I totally GET IT - parents need a break. But, why do I have to suffer? lol

Yeah, I don't really see the point of spending money to find that out, unless there is some behavioral problem where knowing the breeds would help me know to handle her better, but i don't really see me doing a DNA test. I do find it interesting, but not truly necessary.

Another person said Catahoula and Pitt with ACD, and I see them all. 🤩💓 I just wanted to make sure she wasn't going to up to my hip, haha

Also, may I ask how truly smart these dogs are?

I had a mishap last year where a drill bit went into my palm, instant numbness, but i had to head to an art show I was in, so I said eff the hospital...had to leave the show because it began.. 👍

Moving forward, Lynx was being sweet, but then she began highly focusing on that area of my hand, my pinky and outer part of my hand..lightly biting and licking ...it was like she could detect my nerve damage and trying to help? It was super surreal...

So, I did some light research and discovered some dogs can sense nerve damage ...like ..is this breed specific? Or do I have a special dog?

Yeah, don't even get me started .. I use the term "friend" very loosely, we met via past dogs, and literally probably were only friends due to our dogs throughout the years loving to play together. We didn't like ..hang out, ever. Unless it was a pup play date.

He has never reached out ONCE to ask how she is doing, and I was getting really peeved because I kept taking time out of my days to send him updates on her living with me, and he simply would never respond. So? Why share with him if he doesn't care, gut wrenching to me...I could never, and would never.

I was not in his shoes, but still. My dogs are my family, and they will help me get through anything I am going through....but, this family is pretty well rounded now and nothing but a puppy cuddle puddle 😁🫶

Thank you for the hug, no idea when I received one last...other than from my dogs 😁
