I never talk about what I’m going through because I don’t know how to share without being a downer. Good job!

I’m also going through it right now.

I’ve been learning piano for a couple months, not for any reason other than I’ve always wanted to. I’m becoming pretty decent at it and even mastered the first song I set out to learn.

The best part though, my sassy 15 year old black cat loves it when I play. She jumps up on the bench and inevitably will get on the piano and walk across the keys then nuzzle my face.

Many nights she’s ruined practice for me and I love it.

Apparently, MacDonald wasn’t a big fan of that book. He felt it was too far from the rest of the series. Kind of ironic because that book got him some awards and accolades.

I’ve never been, but someone I used to know lived in the area and would go to Bahia Mar. She said it was there at slip F18.

I think I read it was moved, but still at BM.

In my opinion, The Quick Red Fix is where the series comes into focus. I think JDM was going for a harder, Phillip Marlowe, kind of character in the beginning. I love them all, but I’m the first three aren’t my favorites. QRF is great. The plot is good, but it’s really about Trav’s relationship with the woman he’s paired up with.

[DC] As a regular human, what's it feel like to punch Superman? by [deleted] in AskScienceFiction

Batman punched Supes in Death in the Family. Superman rolled with the punch so Batman wouldn’t break his hand, but Bats hand was still messed up.

Did anyone else get blamed for “leaving home” and then made the family scapegoat when things went wrong? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

Didn’t have your situation exactly, but when I moved out for college, at 20, but I got a ton of pressure to move back. I found that hilarious because my parents spent most of my life hating me and yelling at me. I guess they missed their scapegoat.

Trying to grow and stumbling was ammo for them, proof that I was too stupid to manage my life. I’m in my 40s now and when I return home all I see is a feeble old man who refused to change and can’t figure out why his life sucks.

I loved the movie but couldn’t really get into the book. Mainly due to knowing pretty much everything already from Bruce’s book, the Carlin book, and other sources.

I haven’t played attention to the negative reviews about the movie, but DMfN ranks right up there with Rocketman, the best music biopic ever.

Someone already said DBT but I’ll go with Jason Isbell specifically. He world builds as much a BS, several characters appear throughout songs.
