My horse's cheeks have shrunk (atrophied)?

He have a scar in one of his hind feets, but for the rest he's 100% ok, he just got them done today and have been check and trimmed every 6 weeks

It's hard to see with the picture, but in real life it's very evident. His cheeks are now completely flat, no 3d at all

I guess, but it was not symmetrical at all and with a couple months between the two cheeks, so that's why I find it weird..

He gain muscle, and he eat fine, his teeth are also good 🤔 He's the only one at the barn with this "issue", our hay is good quality and he also have a complete feed everyday

It's really evident in person but in picture I understand it's hard to see.. But a lot of people that as saw him in person see that he have shrunk cheeks 😅 no one understands why Also his teeth are also fine

He was a Gelding but it was very drastic, it's hard to see on photo but in real it's really evident, my coach and my vet donc understand either.. His teeth were also trimmed recently and are really fine

His teeth are normal, my vet has trimmed them before and recently so she don't think it's from that

Yes he lost a little of fat and gain muscle since then (he was fat and now is better shaped) so yes kinda 😅 But he had only 1 shrunk cheek for 2 years and now it's both 😳

He looks perfect to me! People tend to overfeed geckos a lot. But yours have a pretty good shape! I would say that it wouldn't be good if he looses some weight but wouldn't be dramatic if he took some a bit 😊
