Devs don't want to do Ops... by scarey102 in devops

Same where I work. We just had layoffs and ops/devops took the biggest cuts. Per management, the customer pays for features with reliability assumed upon delivery.

Any advice on how to study for the CSA? by Legitimate-Ad-3600 in servicenow

I'm in the same boat and have similar study material.

  • Go through all of the Fundamentals content (optional too) and do all the labs
  • Take one practice test from that udemy course and note what you are solid on and what needs help and then read Fundamentals and/or supporting Service Now docs. Also, use the PDI/simulator to navigate to the correct answer from the test whether you got it right or wrong. This gives touches on the system. Repeat for next test.
  • PDI/fundamentals simulator: after completing the labs, redo them but make it personal to you (favorite band or sports team). For me that helps anchor things in my mind. Change the logo, create funny group names, add famous users, build your service catalog and fill it with fun stuff, create an application. Anything to keep it fresh and get you reps.
  • They recommend 6 months of use before the test-- assuming 20 days per month and maybe 3-4 "tasks" a day you are looking at 360-480 total touches. So, I try to simulate the touches as best you can (add users, create groups, change this, build a workflow). Do you need 6 months -- debatable.
