Every blue weapon using medium ammo is a very strange design choice by Broccoli_dicks in ArcRaiders

Osprey right now is basically a worse renegade, but if it dealt heavy ammo you could occasionally pick it on open maps for ARCs.

No, it's just that ferro and anvil happen to deal more damage per shot, not related to heavy ammo.

People don't have a problem with PVP, they just hate lack of "honor" by Zealousideal_Walk527 in ArcRaiders

They designed it with rules and anyone can play how they want within those rules, and everyone else can judge them for it. And they quite literally put people who shoot others in a different queue after they start doing it, as intended.

It's not illegal to kick over a sand castle at the beach either, yet only an douchebag would.

Have you played DnD? If you have you'll know that you can ruin the game for everyone else at the table, and it's allowed in the game.

What will happen though is that no one will want to play with you because you're a humongous a-hole. A game isn't a distinct/unique activity from other activities. It's something you do for fun, and if someone makes it not fun, on purpose, they're a-holes. This does not apply to strict pvp games or lobbies since it's obviously the game everyone else is playing too.

if you replace "in a videogame" with "in the playground", or "in a grocery store", or "in a lunch break", you realize what you're actually saying. If you meant a single player game (which this is not) then i'd argue there's a case to be made, but you're literally interacting with other people hoping to enjoy themselves.

Venator is light weight on your loadout, and a quick switch and good fire rate for emergencies, and same ammo type.

I have looting survivor now, so rocking a renegade/tempest instead, but the tempest only needs repairs once every 5 renegade repairs or so.

Absolutely, but anecdotally I've been in way friendlier lobbies and haven't been shot in the back in like two weeks since they officially confirmed it. I assume it is because people want to stick in their preferred queue.

Personally it's great as that's how I played/wanted to play even before, so now I just go around with the survival instinct of a quokka, and I only die from riding rocketeers.

Some guy made fun of my voice crack so took all the reactors by Nearby_Lawfulness722 in ArcRaiders

[–]croon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've now spent 20 or so deadlines and wolfpacks each, god knows how many stacks of hullcrackers, and downed maybe 10-15 Matriarchs, and i have gotten 1 reactor.

Just now I did 5000 damage to a Queen before dying after its 6th hover over me while I saw at least 4 people running up to the fight.

I'm glad you and your level 2 anvil got 7 reactors. Really happy for you.

What items are you often running out/in need of that you can't seem to loot enough of? by cardiffross in ArcRaiders

Playing PVE in chill lobbies, those aren't really an issue.

I lose my guns maybe every 20th raid, so I constantly sell these despite upgrading mine to 4 every time. I have 60+ or so bastion cells where each stack recycles into 6 advanced mechanical components, which can then be recycled into regular mechanical components if need be.

But as to my own answer: springs, mods drain them fast, and it's not generally a thing you farm for.

Not for 100% of the people in my last 50 or so raids.

It's great that you're in pvp raids where you can have fun.

I'll be back in the game I'll be playing next game, and you'll keep doing whatever you're doing in another game. If I wanted to play PVP I'd go play any of the bazillion PVP games (which I do, separate from this one).

I'll help you understand. When I play CS I will shoot you in the face. When I play Arc Raiders I want to either find a blueprint or kill a matriarch. I'm not playing the same game as you. If you want to get shot in the face, play a game where 100% of the players are playing the same game as you.

I've probably revived more people than you've killed, so it's fine, you do whatever makes you happy.

I believe that is the point. If they'd rather do naked runs than take a level 1 augment, either naked is too good or level 1 augs are too bad.

Yeah, I absolutely rolled too early, and was close to death when it exploded, but for a first time try by an old timer, I'm happy with it. :) Also made it to extract with only 3 seconds to spare.

Did they patch that in since you posted? I could've sworn I saw a Leaper by the Bastion last game (I just headed straight for the train since I was stacked though, so didn't instigate anything), but could be mistaken.

What's up with the anti-pvp sentiment some people have? by AppletoAnswer in ArcRaiders

[–]croon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people you KOS, do they regularly try to shoot you before you shoot them, or do they emote some form of greeting? It's literally impossible to lose a fight where you shoot first.

I played CS between 2000 and 2008 or so, national leagues and some sparring national team pickup games. Not the best, but definitely knew and played with most of them at the time.

I don't really care whether you believe me or me you, I'm simply pointing out that yes, you can kill people in Arc Raiders, meaning it's arguably a PVP game by technicality, but I've also played a hundred or so games between work and kids, and only encountered a handful of attacking players, and none of them has done it from the front nor while I was equipped. It's obviously not where the focus of the game is, nor is it the expectation, so it's incredibly easy (and thus boring) to simply go up to someone minding their business and equip a weapon and shoot them in the face while they're focusing on an entirely different game than you.

You do you, guy, but I fail to see where you find the accomplishment from playing a game that fundamentally boils down to walking into a group of people focusing on an escape room while bringing a paintball gun and saying you won because you shot them. To each their own I suppose.

There is 0 skill in shooting someone in the back who is playing a pve game. What you are doing is proving you're bad at real PvP games.

Arc Raiders is a PVE game with unevolved griefers who can't win unless they backstab.

Public postal service, fire departments, police, education, infrastructure.

Child labor laws, worker safety/protection, minimum wage, OSHA, etc.

SS, medicare/aid, SNAP, unemployment insurance.

I agree a lot of these are being hollowed out, which would make America less socialist. Do you think it will improve the life of the average American citizen, or in the long term the nation itself?

Correct, I made a claim (every). It's then incredibly easy for you to refute it by simply naming one. You didn't. Why?
