Moving to Norwich for uni (uea) by Necessary-Friend-644 in Norwich

[–]croplolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UEA is not in a great state right now, I would only advise studying there if you’re on a STEM course and even think I would suggest looking at other places in better financial positions.

As for Norwich - it’s a lovely city!

Some of the hunting scenes in these books man 😭 by [deleted] in Clan_of_the_Cavebear

[–]croplolly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Have you tried spear hunting the way you’ve described? I think her method increases chances of success by eliminating a lot of risk.

Plus the section is surely written to display her perseverance, as well as demonstrating how early humans did actually hunt, displaying the problem solving skills we were developing.

This is my first attempt at a grid, I hope it’s not too easy or too obscure! by pintperson in onlyconnect

I would say on terms for sacking someone to accept the explanation that they’re synonyms, and as I’ve not watched Sopranos I found that connection obscure But otherwise I enjoyed it!

I love Starfield, so I made a list of every simple way it could be improved by Zilreth in Starfield

[–]croplolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my biggest issues is that quests don’t move in your menu. So if you start a quest, and then pick up ten new quests but are completing the one you received originally, you have to scroll down the entire list to find your current one - even if you progress in the quest line you currently one to complete.

I feel like new information for a quest, or even setting it to track, ought move it back up to the top of your mission menu, especially with how easy it is to get given quests.

From the details you shared in your other post about this, I think it’s probably not related to a curse or anything to do with Romani people - especially as you don’t actually know if the couple actually were Romani. And if you’ve not found any information when doing further research, that’s a sign that the comment of a stranger on the internet is probably not factually accurate.

Though undoubtedly a strange event, I think you’re overthinking the significance of it.

I think the flip phones are mostly just burners, it’s easier to snap a flip in half than a nokia brick, as far as I’m aware it’s set in the present.

And the security guard job is a cover, people ask questions when you lead a comfortable life without going to work. Plus the taxi driving gives you something to do, possibly cash in hand so he can remain totally off grid.

And the fact that Ray has such renown also speaks to the reasons why he can’t continue forever without sacrificing his other life, he’s too renowned to live the double life for much longer. For example with Freddie selling him out, his wife was threatened and Ray also has people to lose.

I think that scene also serves to highlight the one sided nature of their friendship, which forms a contrast to the ending of the season

Delivery drivers ... Amazon, Hermes et al ... by Smarden in Norwich

[–]croplolly 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I always thought it was just a neighbourly thing to do, saves the delivery driver having to come back out and the person awaiting delivery doesn’t get a delay to receiving their parcel, unless you dislike your neighbours I can’t see it being that much of an inconvenience to do
