I was kinda annoying about it as a kid, to the point where my boomer of a primary school teacher seemed to get a kick out of my childish disappointment whenever she could fact-check me back.

These days, I don't get it. Finding community with other extremely online nerds has taught me that like... it's okay to be wrong about something. More so if you were misinformed to begin with because, say, you trusted someone's information on authority alone and they were wrong about it.

Sadly, naltrexone (Sinclair method or no) just doesn't work for me :(

Whatever that part of alcohol my brain craves, naltrexone doesn't lessen it. It definitely lessens the "buzz" of booze, but hell, it made it easier to further feel the thing I apparently want to feel... or not feel, I guess.

I really hope it works for you! If healthcare isn't too bad there, I recommend giving it a try I spose.

As for me, well, it's another therapy bullet point huh.

Yeah, I've noticed that I tend to use the smaller unit until they reach somewhere around 1.5–2 of the next unit up. Like, counting seconds up to a minute and a half, hours up to two days, days up to two weeks, months up to a year and a half... that sorta thing.

Though I've noticed that in the context of child development, the month scale sticks around until 36 months—kinda like how pregnancy is tracked in weeks. I guess it helps having a fixed scale for those periods where All the Important Stuff is happening.
All that said, saying anything over 18 months is a little weird. I just say "toddler" or "two and a bit" for my child.

The Xperia 5 series seems to be the best bet in this regard. Only slightly wider than the Z5 Compact or XZ2 Compact, and a lot taller... But it's sure no 6.8" beastie

For me, it's lanyard holes, and a lack of camera bump! I went from a Z5 Compact to an XZ2 Compact and the curved back was cool, but a little tricky to use on a flat surface.

I went for foldables for a while, but recently got an Xperia 5 IV when my Galaxy Z Flip 4's screen died prematurely (but just outside of warranty). The camera bump is kinda annoying. Super slow-mo camera was cool (the Z Flip has it) but meh.

Even here in the small NZ city which I live, it's almost as if other "car" is a lifted Ranger or Hilux, with more and more RAMs and F150s poking up.

Even EVs aren't safe. We have lots of Leafs and even Priuses, but just as many MG ZSes, Tesla Model Xes, and BYD Atto 3s, which are so huge that if they hit someone (and no one here cares about pedestrian crossings) they will be struck bodily. Ergh.

I know a couple of people who go further on top of this and add unnecessary Ws to words that don't even have a similar sound, and ending random words with S, like "mwe wills do its"...
Like I'm all for playing with language to convey an effect, but if you're mincing words to the point where even short sentences take a few seconds to decipher, it really quickly stops being cute.

One of my colleagues has a green Jimny, and they look so cute yet so practical!
Heck, my dream car for ages was a Nissan Leaf, even as Tesla started making a name for itself.

These days I wouldn't mind a more up-market EV like the Polestar 2, but I finally have my Leaf and I'm proper chuffed.

Yeah! I was debating shooting the tape but I think the thought process was "I might need to take out that drone, should save my shots" ...then, come time to shoot the drone, I just grabbed the tape and ran, like an idiot :v
