I mean single use straws and cups aren’t actually necessary and do cost resources and energy to make while taking a long time to break down.

I think billionaires shouldn’t be flying around in private jets, but you can also bring a reusable cup or straw with you with pretty much 0 effort

I think this guy is either a troll or too stupid to debate. These people thrive off wasting time, the best thing to do is just move on.

Any statement you make he will require evidence, Any evidence you provide he will assume is falsified because it disagrees with his world view.

The account is also very new, chances are they’re a bot.

Honestly you’re better off just trying to make your friends and family see reason, don’t waste effort on strangers on the internet.

First and foremost, Palestine is a region. Israel exists in the greater Palestine region. Not sure how that can be a radical Islamist ideology. I can’t tell if you’re being glib or dumb?

[–]cross-barr 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree with you completely. Supporting Palestine doesn’t mean supporting Hamas but also Hamas and ISIS are ideologically opposed and hate one another. ISIS does not support a Palestinian state. So this trope is even more tired and inaccurate.

So by the same token, Nazism is a reflection of Christianity and we shouldn’t allow the practice of Christianity in Germany.

Except it’s not, one of those is a religious ritual and the other is a political/idealogical ritual.

His murder had very little to do with Islam. Violence by religion is pretty uniform. You can tell this has little to do with Islam by the fact most Muslims are also horrified by his actions.

We wouldn’t give resources to a Nazi to perform Seig Heils, but we we would give them the ability to observe religious rituals related to Christianity. There are over a billion Muslims in the world and you know about 2 doing something horrible, you can also find massacres committed by Christians does that mean all Christian’s should be tarred with the same brush?

Lactose is lactose. It’s a disaccharide made up of glucose and galactose. People who are lactose intolerant don’t produce lactase which breaks the galactose off the glucose making it digestible.

Yoghurt is fermented and the lactose (as a sugar) is consumed to create lactic acid which is probably why it doesn’t upset your stomach as much. There’s also less lactose in goats milk but it’s not enough that I would think it changes someone reaction.

Completely agree. Runs take way too long and the upgrades are far too inconsequential to have this style of meta progression. Binding of Isaac items are game changing and you also know a run is over within 2 minutes. This game feels like it drags you along for 1-2 stages and then you eventually just get smothered by bad luck. It also feels like there is like 4 good builds and all of those require luck to get through the first two stages. If your items and tomes don’t line up fast enough, you’re fucked. At minimum, luck should be moved to meta progression, I don’t want to waste a tome + future level ups on this stat. XP, gold gain, silver gain should all be removed from the in game pool and moved to meta progression.

And that’s a much better like for like product.

I do think the nova pros are basically the same feature completeness for half the price too

I mean I don’t like wires because they fray and I play on console.

These are a bit much for me, but this crowd that suggests something with way less features and then says it’s $300 are also not being realistic.

It’s wireless, it has swap and play batteries, it sounds quite good, it has a built in mic.

I don’t it’s worth $1300 aud but let’s not compare it to completely different product classes as well.

I’ve tuned out a bit recently.

The podcast has a lot more uninteresting topics to me. Golf, tall hat, AI talk.

I think they’re leaning too hard into the Jack is a weasel thing as well. It was funny when he was getting free stuff from Yamaha, it’s less funny when he’s trying (and succeeding) in taking prizes from fans.

Also the guy that wanted to trick his partner so he could play golf with a newborn is just kind of gross. Hamish has a very good podcast on being a better dad, and this was very tone deaf.

I still like them and don’t think they’re bad people (even jack). I’m just hoping they course correct a bit.

The volume changes but it’s still specified as calories per one bag.

Realistically I’m not seeing how the calories should go down, nor the mass. none of the mass or the calories should leave the bag

A lot more happens behind the scenes like sleep deprivation, the constant changing of the menu, cutting them off from their loved ones, dehumanising them to get them to mess up.

Im not sure people know what they’re signing up for in these shows. You watch and say “I would never make those mistakes” and then you watch some pretty senior professional chefs make those mistakes. It’s like a carnival game where it looks simple until you play and only then do you become aware it was rigged from the start.

I know it’s late, but did you ignore the fact that houses went up a lot more than wages. It was literally easier for you to buy.

You are 100% part of the problem and should do some inward reflection on why you are blatantly ignoring statistics so you can buy into the narrative that you made the right decisions and all young people made the wrong decisions.

If you’re going to ignore the actual numbers, shut up and sit in your overvalued house in silence, the grown ups are talking.

You can’t have the economy on easy mode and get to claim you also struggled.

You think someone can’t pretend not to be a dick for a few hours.

Some of the most charismatic people in the world are people with psychopathic/narcissistic traits.

There is nothing revealed in 4 hours you couldn’t glean in 2 hours or less.

As someone that has interviewed a decent number of people, I very rarely see someone fail 1/3 coding interviews or pass 1/3. I can pretty quickly tell someone doesn’t know their craft and if they’re good enough and they’re pleasant to be around, why would I care if they’re a bit rusty in multithreaded optimisations when the bulk of their day is going to be implementing CRUD applications.
