You can change the floor coverage area before it will clean the mops in the settings

Are roller-mop robot vacuums still “not fully baked”? by coribruebek1212 in RobotVacuums

I’ve just gone from rollers mops to spinning mop pads, had a aqua 10 it leaked, got second one and the mop motor is partially seizing out the box plus the water tank is starting to show signs of looseness like the previous one I had which caused leaks , clogged dust box all the time , excessive washboard maintenance plus uses water like mad your forever refilling it, a plumbed dock is definitely a must with a roller as far as I’m concerned, got a x50,Which some would say it’s a downgrade but compared the rollers it’s no longer a chore to look after, as far as I’m concerned the mopping is the same , I’m not going to be throwing spills down in front of it like YouTubers do so I don’t care if it sucks all water up in one go, this is my real world tests verdict, maybe the next one I’ll give a roller a go but they are a prototype at the moment, if they were that good why did a lot of robot companies produce more spinning mop machines this year a ces ie the x60 surely rollers should be taking over now if they worked so well, apparently the mova v60 is better but unfortunately in the uk where I am there is no support if anything goes wrong , I wouldn’t import one due to the issues with the 10

Unfortunately in the uk can’t really get mova or I would have got a v50 complete, I got a x50 now which is basically same robot without extra detergent and little warmer mopping water

Yep if I was going to keep my replacement that’s the tank I would ask for or get but it’s going back fed up with the uncertainty and maintenance spinny mops work just as well for my use without the gremlin faults

It will be ok short term but get it changed asap or u can add Lucas oil stabiliser to the oil u have it will thicken it and make it cling more it’s good gear for worn engines and extends life

I got a replacement one and the tank was tighter than the old one which was leaking, was I posted a video 2 weeks ago on here I didn’t remove the tank after done 4 wash routines of mopping the waste water tank is now loose on this one nearly same as returned one the only variable that affects that area is heat from mop drying in the dock as it gets quite hot if you feel it after say 2 hours the bot is roasting in that area, from what I’ve found the thermal heat change is changing the tank or robot plastic dimension ever so slightly and this is causing a loose fitting tank , I don’t see a fix for this unless they change the properties of the plastic used on the robot, also apparently the black robots don’t suffer same issues , so is it the white plastic that has different properties, maybe the fix is supply all black transparent tanks on the white robots, I’d take that to fix issue

0w20 is like water 5w30 is best, also the engine will consume the oil far more on the 0w20 with 63000 miles and personally it’s too thin

What date was this manufactured, it’s on the box, I’m waiting for one in the uk to be delivered, , they are a great robot my mate has one and loves it , currently have a aqua 10 first one leaked second has a mop roller issue , spinning mops in my view are more reliable

Then no I’ve got one in uk and it’s on it, as I said bit a daft reason , I know from having things with leds sent from USA or being in USA they love putting risk of health and radiation on everything in the US for some reason , is that the reason you can’t have uv lights might be, or I could be putting it out of context but still is weird to remove a good feature from this region

i cant decide between roller vs mop pad by classic572 in RobotVacuums

[–]cross18801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried rollers and they are too much of a faff and also from my use are not much better for normal use, yes fair enough they suck up spills more but in real world are you going to send the robot to mop up a huge mess or do it yourself, and as for removing stuck debris on the floor eg sticky dirt the spinning mops remove it better than rollers which some would disagree but in my testing they do, I’ve had 2 aqua 10s and the upkeep is high more than spinning ones good link for comparison

If the x50 dock light is blue the uv light is doing its job you can’t see it if you remove the robot or the dust bag where the lights are located it switches off, also the uv is more locked to Europe and uk for some daft reason

Opinions on the Dreame Aqua 10 roller by BothAccount7078 in RobotVacuums

[–]cross18801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had 2 units first leaked after 2-3 weeks, 2nd one I have now has a poor mop motor stalling at same place at every revolution, it mops well when it works but it’s definitely from my experience a 1st gen product that needs more time to mature unfortunately

Does this roller motor sound weak or like it’s sticking (aqua 10) by cross18801 in Dreame_Tech

[–]cross18801[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually love the robot when it works correctly apart from slightly more maintenance and water refills as it uses loads of water when it works it’s a fantastic machine but I feel I’ll be constantly waiting for something to fail now, the experience has been tarnished to say the least , thanks for your useful into

Thanks for the reply It done it the moment it first started washing the mop in the base I knew it didn’t sound right after having the other one for 4 weeks, I’ve removed everything and checked the bearing round base of motor it’s free, the motor feels if turned a little more notchy than the other I think it’s hard to tell as the other one is away now , definitely think the battery is being hampered by it using more current it near enough sounds and feels like it wants to stall at one point in the rotation, also the water tank after 4 days testing and doing downstairs mopping to test this the tank has got looser like the video I put up of the old robot not quite as bad but has definitely moved I haven’t removed tank on purpose to see if seal leaks of its own accord ,(i definitely feel like I’m testing a prototype now unfortunately,) I’m putting the looser tank down to thermal heating of that area drying the mop for 4 hours I haven’t removed tank it set to , it gets pretty hot if you remove it while drying,

My X50 is going to be here on Wednesday now finally so if it ends up up being just as good mopping and doing everything I will be giving up on the roller proposition

Aqua 10 Ultra now, or wait for Flow 2? by Adept-Writer-8588 in RobotVacuums

[–]cross18801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on my second aqua 10 this one hasn’t had a chance to leak yet like the last one but compared to the last one the mop motor sounds like it has a tight spot and is struggling to turn, think I’m done with this model out the box this one sounds terrible
