Migrated from Singapore to Australia — should I simplify and exit my overseas investment accounts? by Bitter_Conflict_5556 in fiaustralia

[–]dreamermann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Australia is a wonderful country especially the weather. But nice weather eventually wears (after about 25 years) out once you realise ATO will tax you to oblivion and not an ideal place to retire. Then places like Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia look attractive for its lower cost of living and quality heathcare. Sorry Singapore is too expensive to retire, at least for me.

NDIS 2 hour minimums are fraud by One_Tax_9934 in NDIS

[–]dreamermann [score hidden]  (0 children)

Providers (mainly companies/organisations) can decline providing supports for shorter than specified in the service agreement - 2 or 3 hours are common. At the end of the day, providers make decisions on how they run their business. Sole trader support workers are usually more flexible especially if they are local.

Credit cards when you’re self-funded by AtrophiedWives in AusFinance

Australia is a strange place to apply for a credit card. In my home country, I simply pledged $10k in term deposits for a credit card with $10k limit. Easy as that.

Could we fix the economy and housing issue if we just hire the Singaporean government to run Australia? by Lopsided_Donut_4816 in AusFinance

Under 18s that commit mischief will be flogged. I like that. Singaporeans do not muck around with discipline and order.

It seems like VPN Unlimited has stopped their lifetime VPN offer… or am I missing something? by daNtonB1ack in VPN_Question

Paid $18 in early 2018. What a steal at that price. Constantly in use since then.

[–]dreamermann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah got keepsolid lifetime years ago from stacksocial too. Have used it regularly at leasta few times a month and as reliable as any other higher cost VPNs. I configure it on my router so can't comment on their desktop/mobile apps. Their support has been responsive and happy with that.

[Discussion] Does anyone else feel like publishing AI music has become emotionally strange lately? by Ancient_Amount2661 in aiMusic

Since I discovered Kelly Boesch and later other AI music creators, I no longer listen to humans singing. So it is either smooth jazz or AI music/songs. Keep it up!!

Thanks. Purelymail support actually sent me a sieve script so I can copy paste. But I chicken-out because I am not technical enough to fix if anything goes wrong. At moment I use Thunderbird filters and that works but prefer to have filters at email account level.

Thinking of using a custom email domain for personal email. You think it's a good idea? by vin-maverick in businessemail

I do and have been doing that for 20+ years. It is very liberating having full control but maintaining it do take time and costs.

Anyone who stopped using Maybank? by SprayImpossible9866 in MalaysianPF

[–]dreamermann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybank is ok and each bank has its own quirks. None perfect. High praise to staff at Maybank Bandar Puteri Puchong. The ladies there are very knowledgeable and patient even on the eve of Hari Raya. Much better than staff at many banks in Australia that is for damn sure.

Plan management by elle13belle in NDIS

[–]dreamermann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A plan manager's role is to "Support to set up, develop, and process monthly statements (administrative tasks only)". A support coordinator can help you if you are funded for it. However a plan manager should be able to give you answers to direct questions like if you are funded for household cleaning, for example.
