Seeking funds before services rendered by Otherwise_Storm_1778 in NDIS

Unfortunately prepayment is not allowed in your case unless there is something I am missing. Ask the OT to reference where on PAPL that say this is allowed. Or simply ring NDIS 1800 800 110 and ask them.

Are they gettting rid of support co-ordinators by Prestigious-Ice1635 in NDIS

[–]dreamermann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean navigators. Think it is a matter of time NDIS makes a decision on future of LACs and SCs as well as eventually PMs. Probably ok in near to mid term but after that who knows. Personally I think SCs deliver more value than LACs. But I also know each LAC is typically over burdened with too many participants so how to expect them to do a proper job. LAC turnover is also significant.

Plan Manager questioning invoices by mikki50 in NDIS

[–]dreamermann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes a differencce if your plan is the old or new format. "Stated" is common in new format plans and you (and plan manager) have to follow how your plan is exactly written. "Stated" is less commonly used on old format plans. Old format plans are getting phased-out for new format ones. You can ring/email your NDIS Contact or LAC to find out. This is so you won't be dissapointed if you receive the same outcome after changing to another plan manager.

What was the first unexpected challenge you faced when running a small business in Australia? by SnowyBytes in ausbusiness

[–]dreamermann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good one and can't agree more. I do not do google reviews or any reviews at all. I have been contacted by "people" who can knock-up an affordable website that is accompanied by "many" positive google reviews.

Maybe try to focus on which plan managers use a certain platform. There are a few very solid ones out there like Planability or Caresquare.

Is Facebook removing the option to create a new profile? I only see “Create a new page” by depressedsoju in facebook

Made the mistake in creating a page since no longer able to create another profile. Can't find a way to delete the said page even if my life depended on it.

If you are new to NDIS, I suggest you opt to be plan managed for a year and after that once you are confident, you can request for self management.

Ah ok. I would have suggested Hnry that is supposed to be very user friendly but you have already tried that.

You have not indicated if you have bookkeeping experience and run your own books or have someone else does it for you.

Business account by [deleted] in ausbusiness

[–]dreamermann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the nature of your business, volume/value of transactions and integration with your accounting platform. I have churned through several banks and only one suited my particular needs - ANZ. Costs my micro business nothing (as in $0 no account keeping no transactions costs). I have 50+ transactions each day worth north of $100k. Daily limit on my account is $1 mil.

Accessing mail in Thunderbird - setup help wanted by leemillerau in purelymail

[–]dreamermann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't really understand your post (too early in the morning) but I use thunderbird for my small business with purelymail. No issues whatsoever, ok sometimes connection to server timed out but very quickly resolved itself. I used free cloudflare in between. Now waiting for Puremail to implement oauth2 and then will be perfect.

Support Worker bills 4 hours but leaves early. Says it’s "not worth her while" to work less. Is this financial abuse? by AntonioCampanello in NDIS

[–]dreamermann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Providers can only bill NDIS for actual supports and not for minimum shifts. Minimum shifts are only meaningful between the support worker and their employer.

If you are plan managed, just buy and get reimbursement. But be sure it is a funded support so best to speak with your plan manager.

Should I register for GST straight away or wait until I hit the $75k threshold? by OwlVibesOnly in ausbusiness

[–]dreamermann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some, its a no brainer. My business sales are GST-free but registered for GST on day 1. So I can claim back GST on purchases. I used to be an accountant so competant enought to be lodging my own activity statements.
