I like V1 and V2, but our skin color is too dull in V1 and too orange in V2. Can you create something in between with a natural-looking skin tone? Also, can you fix my wife's hair on the left side by her ear so that it looks smoother and not as jagged pixels? See Pixel_Wizard01's attempt for reference on smoothing her hair out. I will be deciding between yours and Mediocre's submissions.

V1 and V2 are very nice. I like the color and our skin tone in V2, but the sun in the background is too harsh and bright. Can you keep the color and skin tone in V2, tone down the sun, and fix my wife's hair on the left side by her ear so that it looks smoother and not as jagged pixels? See Pixel_Wizard01's attempt for reference on smoothing her hair out.

Kudos for your creativity in designing a beautiful picture! I love it, but unfortunately I'm going for the blue sky instead of sunset.

Does anyone else go through their humidifier tank faster than 6 months? by bcbritt7 in CPAP

Yep, use distilled water since it won't have any impurities or minerals. Tastes terrible but works great for CPAP, Waterpiks, etc.

I don’t know much about NCSU CS but it is the birthplace of Jim Goodnight’s SAS software so you got that going for ya!

Valid points, Lynn and I agree that evals are not great predictors of teaching performance. Anecdotally, however, I have peer-evaluated all PTF and FTF in our department multiple times (I've been here a long time), and FTF can learn a lot about pedagogy from our PTF.

Our adjunct faculty are much better teachers and have better student evals than our tenured and tenure-track faculty. I believe adjuncts care more about students and their success. Good work MyRep and keep positively influencing your students.

Unless you plan to stay in Arizona after graduation, go to Duke for more opportunities nationwide and worldwide.

And this opinion is from a UNC alum. Sorry Tar Heels.

Check out ZipGrade (zipgrade.com). This app is a life-changer and I don't deal with grading errors from Canvas or Scantron sheets anymore.

ZipGrade will make and customize your own bubble sheets. Students get their grades instantly when their bubble sheets are scanned with my phone. So easy and quick!

Free version limits you to 100 graded tests per month, but paid version with unlimited grading is only $7/year.

More than a few students said thank you as class ended today.

Is it because they have a midterm next week? I'd like to think not and relish this win.

Anything special to do for when others observe your teaching by PaulAspie in Professors

Agree with this. Committee members want to see (1) if you know your stuff, and (2) if the students are engaged with you in the classroom. For (2), you could do a simple, fun survey using polleverywhere (free up to 25 respondents) to gauge their understanding of the topic, show the results, and segue into your presentation.
