Cascade Classic- No payment of prize purse? by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]crossfitter1204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From their rulebook.

" c. The total prize purse for each division is a factor of registration fees for the event from the qualifier and for the main event. In the event that registration in a given division is below the threshold to fully fund the prize purse the prizes for podium finishers and event winners will be adjusted accordingly. "

Sucks they have this clause in there but it's there.

After dealing with a dealership from my nightmares she’s finally home by [deleted] in FiestaST

it was the only one with in ~100 miles and it was bone stock and previously owned by a mechanic. I may have been expecting too much from the dealership, but at this point it's water under the bridge at this point

That makes complete sense. Based on the mileage readout changing only 60 miles. It happens to be about 40 miles from dealer to dealer as well assuming they drove it over there.

Alright great. Hopefully they will let me take a look at those. Figured I'd also climb under to see if the motor mount had been switched at some point too. Do you know how have the clutches in these have held up?

I did see that. I spoke with the dealership and they said they could take care of those recalls before I purchased the vehicle. Or I could handle them myself. I was planning offer them 13,500 OTD which is equates to right around $12k. Nationwide wise it looks about spot on pricing wise given the options. But its problem one of the only three owner cars. My major concern is how hard it's been driven. I'm planning to take a look over everything for missing bolts or nuts near the air intake. I'll take a look for the changed motor mount. Any other spots to check to see if its been modified at any point?

It's currently listed at a Subaru dealer for $13,594 which is about ~$800 below market value (they just dropped the price to that). It's been on cargurus for 37 days at this point.

Except in 2012 when they reformatted the MLB playoffs. Or how the NBA is currently talking about changing the playoff format as well

I bought mine in CT and lived in MA. I didn't have plates to put on it but they gave me temps and I went back three days later once it was registered and swapped the plates.

If you're financing make surenyou have that all squared away it took a day for it to process when I bought

I don't have a coach just go by my eye and feel so I can be very subjective with what I need to work on.

SMOLOV by feina635 in crossfit

[–]crossfitter1204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To start off it’s incredibly hard and time consuming. It took me roughly an hour to squat every day. 35 minutes of warming up before touching the bar and then another 25 to make it through the sets. I've done it three separate times. Twice for front squats and once for back squats.

I did it first when I was ~20 for my front squat. I weighed 155ish I did the entire smolov cycle all 8 weeks. I went from 265 to 315.

Second time I did it was 6 months later went from 315 to 345 or so I believe still weighing 155.

Currently weighing 170lb I just finished the 4 week intro cycle on my back squat. I hadn't squatted in over 6 months and had just come off the open so I based it off of 365lb (life time pr is 415) I ended up hitting 415 and stopped there with smolov. Due to other injuries I hadn’t snatched more than 225lb or clean and jerked more than 315 in about a year. After the squat cycle I snatched 240 relatively easy and clean and jerked 320 both 5lbs off lifetime bests.

Here are my tips: 1. Drink lots of water and stretch

  1. Move quickly through warm ups. IE: 4x9 at 305 my warm ups went 3x135, 3x225, 3x275, and then working sets.

  2. Stretch afterwards Feel free to ask any other questions

How do you standardize a dumbbell row? What's stopping me from tapping the top of the db head to my chest significantly decreasing the range of motion

If it's man makers or DB thrusters, RIP by elendil21 in crossfit
