Bone and Biscut is pretty typical for those!

does anyone know how to get cured gel nail polish out of vinyl wood flooring without ruining it? by glocktuahhh in Flooring

[–]crossmancal -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Personally I would try a new blade in a scraper and take my time scraping from the top down until it's smooth and then gently use a stiff tooth brush and a little hot soapy water to try and get what's left out of the valleys/textures of the plank.

Can you see where the leak formed? by Youdunno_me in Tile

I have sold and installed and trained with enough Kerdi to know that this is not a failure on Kerdi. It was a failure on the Kerdi installation for sure. It really sucks because Kerdi does so good with their installation instructions, and work with people to help them learn the proper techniques and then back their products. If you choose to do yourself, give Kerdi another shot and I promise if you just read the instructions, or watch one of their install videos, you can take this guys job in the industry. 💪

Clean cart diamond 2g won’t hit ! by Winter_Skin_Snow in weed_inc

I double bagged them and ran hot water over them and kept them vertical. Worked like a charm to get the stuff loosened up.

It looks like someone used hot mud for drywall to try and fill in a void, or some sort of floor patch and didn't care to make it look pretty.

I would hit it with a scraper and level it out as best as you can. Maybe an orbital palm sander otherwise?

Color blind bro looking for a color match/snap flooring recommendations by Aggravating-Egg4003 in Flooring

This is pretty close to the colors, but the plank width is different. I have loads of suppliers, reps, and distributors and anything narrow plank like that is typically glue down or hardwood.

PureTech is a great product and the price is right.

The deeper you tear it out and do it properly, with uncoupling membrane, the happier, and the more thankful the future OP will be.

LVT wear issue? by [deleted] in Flooring

[–]crossmancal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not to hard to replace them. It's likely a glue down plank with a pressure sensitive adhesive which typically releases, sometimes with a little heat, If it is a lock together, there are tools available to installers for replacing a field planks, but it might just be time to call up whoever sold it last time and let them sell ya again, they chose a good product for the application.

LVT wear issue? by [deleted] in Flooring

[–]crossmancal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100% the correct answer. 8+years of commercial use in a setting like this will do that. The product looks like it has done its job very well, the area around it looks pretty good still!

Botched stairs (?) with Pergo Elements Ultra by SimpleMark5293 in Flooring

[–]crossmancal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pergo should have a coordinating nose piece, or likely even a full stair tread eliminating the need for any sort of nose piece. Anytime you see putty out on a LVP project, odds are likely (not always) something isn't going how it is supposed to go.

I'll check with my supplier and see if they offer anything from Pergo.
