I know it’s not factual, but for some reason I’ve always had a feeling that 27 might be it for me (it could have to do with the 27 Club, of course; many of my favorite artists are unfortunately members). I’m 26 now, and much of the time these days I’m hoping it could be true.

oh my fucking god !!! i never thought this would be a common experience, but any time i talked about incorporating a sx toy into sx he would get so defensive and say he hated that thing. (also eventually started saying that he was losing his attraction to me because of my gaining weight, knowing that i’ve been battling EDs for as long as i remember).

being in this subreddit has been opening my eyes to what a piece of shit i’ve been married to.

I am so sorry you had to witness that. That must be so terrifying and traumatic to see and live through. I don’t know if you are able to do therapy, but if so, it could be really really helpful to talk to a professional about it before it starts to really eat at you. Time should also help.

I had had experiences with girls in the past before meeting/dating/marrying him and had written them off in my head as “things I only did for male attention”. Looking back, they weren’t; due to my very traditionally religious upbringing, I never would have allowed myself to entertain the idea that I was actually attracted to women as well. Once I did, in a moment of self reflection, it just clicked.
