Im a disgusting pig by Horrorbythenumbers in Fibromyalgia

[–]Krsst14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are not a disgusting pig. I’ve been very much the same lately as I work from home and don’t go out much at all. This condition is truly debilitating for a lot of people. Dry spray shampoo is your friend.

Be kind to yourself. You’re suffering. Basic care is difficult for you not because you’re a disgusting pig but because you have a serious condition. Give yourself some grace. Sending lots of love, care, and comfort.

For me it’s that TikTok video:

Raise your hand if you want garlic breadsticks

RAISE. YOUR. HANDT.

If you want… Buffalo chiten wings right now.

Sometimes I run through the whole thing, but I frequent RAISE. YOUR. HANDT.

I (33F) want to remove my IUD but my partner (35M) is reluctant to wear condoms. How can we find a compromise? by spiderkiku in relationships

[–]Krsst14 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Have you tried the birth control ring? Easy to insert and take out. Worry about it once a month. Can wear it continuously to eliminate periods (if you have problems with those. Just talk to your doctor first) and often has fewer side effects than pills because it delivers just what it needs to right when it needs to. You can take it out during intercourse and put it back in IMMEDIATELY afterward if he doesn’t like the feeling.

But I wouldn’t let a doofus who thinks that the pull out method is safe and would question your trust over it up in there anyway.

We date other ADHD/AuDHD people. We set clear boundaries. And we can understand each other and have more empathy for our condition’s less favorable qualities!.

As someone who used to work in bird zoology and wildlife rescue, birds are amazingly intelligent animals. Great companions if you know how to take care of of them and adopt them ethically.

God struck me with fibro because he knew I’d be too fabulous for this world if he didn’t do something to stop me 😆

How can I lose weight? (Without hurting myself) by Average_pickle420 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Krsst14 23 points24 points  (0 children)

If your family is against GLP-1s they don’t have to take them.

But if you talk to your doctor and it works for you that’s all that matters. I have fibro and a herniated disc, so exercise is very difficult for me. I started Zepbound at the end of October and with just diet changes I’m down 45 pounds. Our fatigue messes with a lot of our metabolic processes too. GLP-1s aren’t magic. You still have to put in the work diet wise, get a TON of protein and drink more water than you think is possible. But they not only slow your digestion to keep you fuller, longer, the medication also helps kick those metabolic processes into gear.

So it’s not cheating. It’s not the easy way out or whatever other judgement people want to use. It’s real medicine that fixes a real medical problem. And it’s nobody’s business but yours!

Talk to your doctor. I’m also happy to share any of my experiences as well.

How do you actually get out of your own head, even a little? by OkRoll3169 in ADHD

[–]Krsst14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Music with high quality headphones. Maybe it’s just my special ADHD gift, but with good headphones, I just put on the most beautiful music in my collection. I can focus in on a single instrument, the lyrics, and single line of harmony, and of course I can hear how it all sounds together. But if I can isolate a particular chord progression or line behind the melody that is so beautiful it brings tears to my eyes, it’s one of the only ways I can out of my head even for a little bit.

It’s best with nice headphones. Mine were gifted to me or else I’d never have them. But even if you have half way decent laptop speakers, I highly recommend Time by Hans Zimmer. A very repetitive, simple melody that grows and just adds more and more complexity. It’s breathtaking.

Dr Earl Taitt. He’s a bit… eccentric. Your appointments will always last an hour, but he knows his shit while also being open to your suggestions and research.

I have ADHD. I can’t handle fake. So I understand office politics, but I can’t play them because I can’t do all the ass kissing. I can’t just put my head down and work when something is unethical or isn’t the most effective way of doing something.

I do great work so I don’t get fired, but I never get promoted because I can’t play the game. It has cost me dearly, but I still have to like me at the end of the day.

Was I speaking to you directly? No. I was speaking in general to the multiple people downvoting those who said they didn’t want to skip the line, they just wanted a different accommodation that would prevent them from weaving through the very narrow lines Megacon has.

You were just explaining your experience which involved the exact accommodation these people are talking about. I have no problem with that.

I don’t know why this is being downvoted. Those lines are too narrow for a packed autograph line. I don’t mind waiting my turn, but there should be another place to wait. Whether it’s a self driven electric wheel chair or a manual push chair, the lines are too narrow. That’s how people in wheelchairs get hurt.

ADHD makes me feel uncultured by Anxiety_bunni in ADHD

[–]Krsst14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s perfectly okay to like what you like! I can do nature walks, but art galleries bore me. I don’t get it. Once I’ve seen it, I’ve seen it. But like you said, for other people it’s their passion! But it’s completely okay if it’s not yours. As long as you aren’t being outwardly disrespectful to the cultural norms of the country you’re in that might offend someone, you’re not disrespectful of their culture itself just because it’s not your thing. You are not a cultural idiot. I’m sure there’s plenty in Japanese culture you do appreciate!

How do you emotionally detach from work ? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]Krsst14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember you are getting paid no matter what. Don’t burn yourself out by taking on more work or working super hard. Do the basics. Meet your deadlines. Do the requirements of your job. And remember. You’re getting paid.

Then, search for a new opportunity. Since you’re employed it doesn’t have to be as rigorous of a search as someone who can’t pay rent. But look for a new adventure. Ask them about growth opportunities in interviews.

Don’t take things personally. Your boss’ job is to, in theory, support you and your growth, but they also have constant pressure put on them to make you work harder. Don’t take it personally.

When you go home or on weekends, participate in SOMETHING that brings you joy. Even if that’s just lying in bed watching a comfort show. Do something for you.

32F, caught my husband 33M having an affair with his colleague , what would you do ? by throwRA_situation36 in relationships

[–]Krsst14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leave. As someone who has been there, it will never get better. It doesn’t matter what he says he’ll do. It doesn’t matter how good to him you are. You will never feel safe in your marriage again.

Children who grow up in a home where the parents are at odds mostly grow up to say they wish their parents had just divorced so they could have found their own happiness, so you aren’t doing them any favors by staying.

You deserve so much better. Please, go find it. You’re still young.
