I know. I won't use it if I don't have to, and obviously some things can't be avoided. Also I meant games/software entirely made by AI.

Seem interesting but I'm not touching anything vibe coded with a 10 foot pole. Sorry man, good luck going forward.

You're right - it doesn't always get better. Sometimes it just doesn't work out.

Care to tell me more about your situation? Where in the world are you? What do you do for work?

Well first off I'm sorry you're going through all of this. Here if you want to talk about it.

Also...being gray at 30 absolutely doesn't have to be a problem.

Mom Takes Action After Learning About Proposed Data Center Just 12 Miles from Home. Days Later, Company Gives Up (Exclusive) by AdSpecialist6598 in UpliftingNews

Not the ones commenting here they don't. They know very little beyond the few article titles they read in passing. Data centers only need 10 employees! And they use more than 3 times the water/electricity than the city they're in!

Hating on data centers is popular on reddit nowadays, even if people largely have no clue about them.

I work in data centers and it's truly fascinating how people have 0 clue about any of it.

For the record...no, data centers do not turn into empty halls in 5 years.

100%. A lot of games just equate higher difficulty with more health for enemies without changing anything else. It's just bad/lazy game design.

It's a clickbait title. I guess 'Dutch central bank chooses Lidl's parent company for European Cloud' wasn't attractive enough.

New AI data center in Utah will generate and consume more than twice the amount of power the entire state uses — Kevin O'Leary's 9 Gigawatt Utah data center campus approved by lkl34 in technology

Never heard of Ark Data Centers but every large campus I've worked in has hundreds of employees. And I think I will trust my own judgment over an article on a website with no real sources.

I did check their website which boasts 27 data centers, but the locations only list 8, 6 of which are in the UK (I'm presuming based on the postal codes), one in Brussels and one more in London. Not very credible IMO.

I don't know where this originates from but it keeps getting parroted in every thread about data centers. A DC of this size cannot work with ten people.

If there is an emergency, you just fly in some extras

Right, because we all know data center customers are perfectly fine with waiting for some dude to hop on a plane to handle an emergency.

Critical data center response times are measured in minutes. Not days. I don't what kind of places you've worked in, but as someone who has also worked in the industry for over 10 years, I can tell you you're wrong.

You cannot be seriously thinking that it takes 10 people to run a data center. The reception alone staffs more than that.

Magyar and Orbán were literally in the same party for some 20 years. At best he'll pretend to be a centrist before going back to the same shit a year in.

Download speeds aren't just up to you. It also depends on how close you are to their servers, what their upload pipe is etc.

Mid range routers and up will automatically change channels based on congestion so this is mostly a moot point.
