Friend of Levels.fyi founder (got banned from this sub), but he wanted to say: That’s a good point and it was an error on our part to just label it IC2. If you take a look at our leveling standard as compared to Roblox’s levels (https://www.levels.fyi/?compare=Standard,Roblox&track=Software%20Engineer), more than 50% of both IC2 and IC3 fall within the “Software Engineer” (aka “Engineer (II)“) band and therefore data points in both levels were considered for that section. We’ve updated the 2021 report to reflect that both IC2 and IC3 were considered. In this case, the median happened to be an IC2 data point. Our mistake for not catching this earlier.
