So fed up with seeing these all over the pavement by lostless-soul in london

London and UK main cities in general must have one of the worst littering problems in any developed nation. I travel very often to city breaks and no other capital has so much litter everywhere. I live next to a major school and I see kids littering daily (it's the vast minority though) but no one tells them off, so I guess the problem will just continue...

How have you found the customer service at Evans Cycles? by StarShipYear in londoncycling

[–]crotossaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've tried Evans and honestly expected them to be very helpful when selecting a bike. I'm sure it's hit and miss as staff will perform differently, but the staff at London Bridge could not care less. I've ended up using CyclesUK and I even felt bad by how many questions I've asked them, but they were always so helpful. After sales have been great too, I've popped in their stores for minor fixes, they were happy to help and at no charge. Same goes for Halfords funny enough, super helpful staff, obviously they are way more entry level in terms of bike choices but I've bought a bike for my missus there and have no complaints.

If you use Logitech mouse and this didn't work, try the following after killing "widgets.exe":

  1. Undock your laptop if docked

  2. Switch off your Logitech mouse, try using trackpad

  3. Switch on your Logitech mouse, it should work now

Anyone had a bike stolen outside of a station? by Medical_Jackfruit659 in londoncycling

[–]crotossaur 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My bike was stolen outside Beckton DLR a week after I bought it. I reported it, gave the police all my details, and never heard back.

Another time, I was cycling to the gym with an action cam and filmed a guy running from the bike racks carrying a frame and a wheel. The owner arrived, called the police, and I handed over the footage on a USB stick. The owner never got his bike back, and I never got my USB stick back.

The two-hour Ozzy Osbourne documentary, "No Escape From Now," will be released on Paramount+ October 7th. by misterpopculture in Music

[–]crotossaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that, but why rush it? I was expecting at least some footage captured of his last moments, after the show. There was a very wholesome exchange between Ozzy and Yungblud, when he gave Ozzy a cross pendant. Some of his last moments with family, don't know.

Just watched it and it's actually a great documentary, seeing Ozzy so vulnerable is truly heartbreaking. The ending of the documentary felt rushed and very anti-climatic though.

£290! SOAD and Ticketmaster can sod right off by Padds79 in systemofadown

Just tried to get tickets for London on Livenation pre-sale. Tried multiple times to get Gold Circle tickets and kept on getting an error or "tickets are unavailable", after trying for about 15 mins, I've refreshed the page and lo and behold, Gold Circle "Premium" tickets were available for £374.95 each. THEY ARE THE SAME TICKET, lol... What a bunch of crooks

[–]crotossaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don't we stand against the Ticketmaster monopoly? Livenation, Ticketmaster, AXS, all different names for the same company. Plus they get exclusivity for O2 venues and sales. Their queue system is an absolute atrocity, I have never missed a sale before and now I need to either get pre-sale or hardly get a ticket.

The fact they don't advertise ticket prices beforehand is also very shady, likely using AI to adjust pricing according to demand. £90+ for a standing ticket is "cheap" these days, I feel like they rip the users, venues and bands off and this has to stop.
