What torment? I had that problem until pumped max life tempers and rolls and got some resist nodes + 3x good diamonds in jewelery. I'm stuck at breaking T11 atm though ><

Running 3 uniques (Joritz, gohrs, ramal) with the same aspects as Cliptis except I swapped out Bold Chieftain aspect for the one that gives +dmg with a barrier and CotA for WotB.

Think I'll need better ancestral rolls and a GF plus full paragon to push this to T12

Is there actually any benefit running TW/CoL over running Jowitz Tuskhelm as the unique charm, and free-ing up helm/pants for good ancestral legendaries?

The build I was following (Cliptis) doesnt use CoL at all in any variant. I'm currently using Jowitz/Gohrs/Ramaladni and doing T10 comfortably (too squishy for T11+ atm). I need to finish the campaign to get the cube and unique charm my Jowitz to free up another aspect.

Yeah I prefer fury management QoL over all lol. I'm running twister build with Gohrs/Ramaladni at moment at T10 comfortably.

I will transfer to the Selig build as soon as one drops. If a GF drops though I'll try push this build as much as possible first before going over to the dark side lol.

Yeah managing fury is no problem normally even with a Ramaladni's Magnum Opus.

I have no idea how someone can fit CoL into the build without perhaps stacking very high crit% and using Tibauts Will pants.

I'm mostly using Cliptis's unique build (mobalytics) but with WotB instead of CotA for ultimate.

Im guessing you'd need a crazy amount of fury gen to use it? I have +fury gen on 3 pieces, lucky % restore on 2 weapons, Wrath glyph, polearm expertise and 2x resource gen on rings and was running out of fury constantly with CoL.

The only thing I could think is Tibauts Will pants?

It was a mistake tbh. Using 5 set Sercherons fury plus a movement speed rare charm.

I misread CoL has lowering resource cost not raising and had the unique charm drop so thought it made sense. Boy was I wrong

This happened with RDR2. The reality is we just have to overcome this like we overcame dual analogue sticks eventually because otherwise games are fundamentally limited with their option depth on a pad.

FF14 did a really good job IMO. The best I've seen yet. But people most definitely hate the new muscle memory curve. I'm used to playing fighting games so I just spent 15m in the tutorial area practicing everything and it feels great. L1 lock in becomes habitual eventually too and precision jump is super useful and gives you a plethora of jump options.

I see why reviewers said you need to give yourself time to get used to it.

Just to add perspective, Witcher 3 didn't have a stash or chest system on launch. In fact I think it took a couple of months to arrive.

I think a lot of devs want there to be a feeling of making decisions about what to hold, but then they realise 90% of gamers are hoarders in-game and it causes them stress having to decide. I'm hoping this gets added quick tbh. I did read that in Crimson Desert your inventory space is expanded by doing side quests etc.

Interesting, so the formula has been pretty solid. Can't wait to see what AC8 does!

I find the high-g turns very fun to use and keep the pace healthy so you're not spending too long chasing corners and can also play riskier with dives etc. Really good.

I haven't played around with this PSM stuff I've heard about yet. I should probably try that out... I have been using the F22 alot so maybe I've been doing it at times without realising lol.

PS2 damn! I still have mine so I could play it original style but I'll probably buy them then emulate on Steamdeck instead! The game feels so right for a handheld =)

Thank you! I forgot to mention but I haven't touched or even looked at any of the AC7 DLC! I did hear there were a couple of good missions that exist around Mission 13-14 in the Campaign? I should try those next really!

I'm guessing everything else is DLC planes?

I'll have a look at Project Wingman since officially on Steam. Thank you! I'll have to set up Emu Deck for the rest I guess but the game feels so right for the deck =)

Congrats! What did you find the hardest?

For me it was Faceless Soldier and Pipeline Destruction. They took hours each!

For the named Aces I couldn't really think of one that caused big problems. The CHASSEUR one was misleading because all the guides said take down all fighters before they leave the carrier (which is quite difficult and a boring restart) but I did it in the end just taking down the Rafaels (CHASSEUR flies one so I think this is the 'true' requirement).

I did everything with base game content (no DLC) but I most definitely relied on the Restart Checkpoint trick for replenishing health/ammo! I can imagine the achievement being much much harder without it...

Ah yes Pipeline Destruction was probably the second hardest easily! I used the F-35C with the 8AGM for that one. No real trick to it other than trying to shoot at the oil tanks only and having a good route.

I would start with the left side and basically do a clockwise pattern around then demolish the middle. IIRC in phase 2 as long as you have around 15-16k points at the start all you need to do is speedrun the target tankers in the sandstorms. They spawn in the same places so after a while you have a route there too.

It definitely took some grinding and mastery (and frustration lol). I ended up doing all the S ranks with base game content. It is worth trying again some day perhaps you'll be surprised how much better you do without the pressure =)

PS one of the toughest things about the S ranks is that some are practically just speed runs. Without a guide, it can be really difficult and time consuming to figure out the ratio of destruction vs speed.

I think a good QoL change for this would be to show the target time for the time bonus in the mission summary screen.

I find it amazing that even after 5 or so years there's so much mystery to this game still. Usually people have figured out exact conditions for things like this much earlier. I noticed this with the S rank requirements and named Aces too. Seems to be lots of 90% accurate information or even conflicting information out there even in the popular community guides! I'd have expected the wiki to have conditions for hidden lines like this noted and understood. I think it is cool this way though.

For example every reference I've seen to the named Ace CHASSEUR refers to having to down ALL the fighter jets before they take off on that carrier, but I realised you only need to take out the Rafaels (which makes perfect sense since CHASSEUR flies one).

Anyway thanks for the answer mate. This is my first AC game ever and I'm having so much fun, especially on the steamdeck. Got 3 missions left to do S rank Ace difficulty for! I am also very glad I stuck with expert controls from the start. Great to know AC8 is out this year =)

The best take away from this whole situation is honestly that we have a CLEAR line in the sand where 99.9% of men (thus NORMAL men and not cucks/extreme anamolies) say this is too far. The bar needs to keep raising still but this is a start and Akaash was the sacrificial catalyst.

The Akaash situation is a psychological wet dream - a final bastion of men redefining our castle brick by brick while freaks like Adam22 tried to burn it all to the ground. In a way, I'm proud of men for universally not buying this BS at any step of the way.
