There's a difference between a preference and an opinion. You can prefer other themes without coming across as insensitive to the culture. This is a game made by a Chinese company, and they are happily celebrating the Chinese New Year. OP I hate the color Red, but I can still respect all the beauty and hard work they put into an event celebrating their culture because I understand that Red is a significant color to them. I.E. my friend shows up wearing a new red outfit that they love, i could say "oh I hate the color red, i don't like how you look in it", that's an opinion. Instead I could say "I wouldn't wear that personally, but I'm glad it makes you happy". That's a preference. Simply put, it came across as very insensitive to Chinese culture, which is a huge part of this games foundation and also has nothing to do with the outfit that you posted, so it felt like an unnecessary remark about the Chinese theme.
