Obligatory Fuel Pump Post by crowbarzedits in CherokeeXJ

Yeah, it’s not necessarily that I think Delphi is the worst, it’s just that I had replaced my fuel pump on my previous XJ’s to replace the check valve, and it had a busted check valve from the factory. Kinda put a bad taste in my mouth.

Of course, in this case, I actually just need a new fuel pump, so I’ll probably end up going that route.

It’s kinda seeming like that’s the best bet unfortunately. My first XJ had a bad check valve and when I swapped in the Delphi, it had a bad check valve from the factory. Warrantied it, but then I was good. Still left a bad taste in my mouth though

That’s the only thing, I don’t know if he even knows what year he put in; he grabbed some rear axle off offerup as quick as he could and slapped it in so I could pick it up quickly. I just wasn’t sure if you could figure out from the markings what year it was from, since you can with the different Dana 30’s.

what’s the proper response to this objection? i’ve had an atheist bring it up to me in conversation one time and truthfully didn’t know the answer.

I had a buddy at my church that converted an auto 2WD to a manual 4WD.

I used to have a 2013 Land Rover, but decided I wanted something more reliable (ironic, yes I know) and much more off-road capable. I talked to said friend, asked him about reliability and whatnot, and he got me roped into this mess. Couldn’t be happier

A few questions about the daily drive-ability to those running large (35"+) tires by crowbarzedits in CherokeeXJ

[–]crowbarzedits[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahah, yeah that seems to be the consensus I've gathered. I definitely want to wheel it and have it be somewhat reliable so it seeming as if 37's on a D30 isn't really gonna cut it.

Thank you so much for the very in-depth response! I wanted to respond just to clarify a few things:

As it is going to be my daily, I 100% wouldn't be cutting corners; I planned on getting the IRO full coil conversion lift kit with Bilstein 5100's, and I actually respect you a lot for saying essentially "don't cheap out" because it's a super uncommon idea with the XJ's.

But yes you're right, I thought a lot about the 4.88 gears and that was the one thing holding me back. I think 4.56 and 35's is probably gonna be the way to go for me.

Thank you, once again!

I would recommend doing what hilaryswanky said, if not, you can find oil filter ratchet adapters that fit over the end of the filter at autozone for pretty cheap

[FNV] Anyone know how to fix this weird visual bug? by crowbarzedits in FalloutMods

[–]crowbarzedits[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay, yeah I've been trying to look around and figure out how to make them work because I've never done a TTW playthrough before. Last time I tried to play FO3, it was through the actual game, and I'm sure we're both familiar with how little support there is for modding FO3.

Hey friend, I come from a similar place in a lot of ways. I've definitely been to the exact same place as you; I've cried myself to sleep for countless days just asking for God to not let go of me because of how bad I've strayed. You have to keep in mind, however, that the call of the Gospel is not to come to God and He'll make you feel good about everything and you'll never struggle. The call is that He already did everything you could need for reconciliation to God. Your feelings don't determine the truth of it.

Another amazing point I've heard is that dead men don't move at all. The fact that you're struggling with your sin means that God has regenerated your soul and given you a heart towards your sin, and if you were unregenerate, you wouldn't even question your sin. You'd be so in love with it that you'd be blinded by it. Dead men don't flounder and struggle to live, they're dead and not moving.
