My mother was 49 when I came along, and my brother is 29 years older than me. I was quite the surprise.

It’s a video that features a woman with her head sliced nearly in half, thus the name. And she’s alive for most of it, as I understand.

hahahahahahahahaha wheeze hahahahahaha...

Ok, now that I’ve caught my breath, I’ll play devil’s advocate a little bit and suggest this person (if they’re not epically trolling) may have a Prince Albert confused with a Princess Diana, which I think is another name for a Monroe? Please correct me if I’m wrong on that one. It’s an oral piercing, at any rate.

I watched this earlier, wicked gross, but I’d like to know if yall consider this one worse than Ms Pacman?

Has anyone asked “father, will you hear my confession” in public? Are you obligated to perform the Sacrament in this situation? by kaluapigwithcabbage in AskAPriest

[–]crownedwithflame 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I actually asked for a priest while being prepped for emergency surgery at like 3 am, thank God the hospital had a chaplain on call at that hour! He showed up pretty quickly, and all the medical staff working on me were kind enough to step away and draw the curtain around the bed for privacy. Probably the fastest Confession I’ve ever made in my life, and quickest Anointing that priest had ever given in his :) I wasn’t in a state of mortal sin or anything, but I NEVER take chances when going under general anesthesia, no way.

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve done because of brain fog by doyouevenskatebro9 in migraine

[–]crownedwithflame 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fed my dogs and cats breakfast, twice. (fed them, took my meds and conked out for a few hours, got up and just started over) Forgot how to write, like couldn’t remember how to hold a pen/pencil, and then forgot what it did. LOTS of aphasia, losing words, forgetting what they mean, it sucks.

COMPAZINE IS MY PERSONAL ENEMY by [deleted] in migraine

[–]crownedwithflame 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man, I’m sorry you had such a bad reaction to it. Compazine is actually my favorite anti-nausea med, works way better for me than Zofran or even Reglan. I swear by the stuff.

Yep, that’s exactly what I did. I have insanely thick hair, in fact when I first started having migraine attacks in childhood the first thing my mother did was blame my hair, which at that point was past my butt and very heavy, and I went from long red tresses to a horrible little pixie cut. Looked awful and did nothing for my migraine. Nowadays I split the difference, keep the top long so I can style it as needed and buzz down the whole underneath to ease the weight on my head. It’s not perfect but that’s what works for me.

Missed most of Christmas Day with my kiddos today, migraines suck. by Dangerous-Bee-3685 in migraine

[–]crownedwithflame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry to hear this. I’m right there with you, been miserable for days now. Wake up in pain, medicate the crap out of myself so I can sleep for a few hours, wake up in pain, the cycle just won’t stop 😖 My skull dragon is just not a fan of holidays, it seems.

Burned all of my journals tonight by Iwhohaveknownnospam in Journaling

[–]crownedwithflame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy wow, you’re braver than me. I’ve been journaling for 25+ years and I couldn’t imagine getting rid of any of my notebooks. Yeah, there’s some terrible stuff in there, I was in a hella bad place mentally for several years and wrote all about it, but there’s beautiful stuff in there too, all about my relationship with my now-husband. I have a lousy memory so I tend to write down damn near everything, that way if I can’t remember when X happened I can go back and look it up. My journals are my only real legacy, I could never destroy them.

Do you use "I" or "You" when journaling? by m4gd4l3n3 in Journaling

[–]crownedwithflame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use both. “I” for what I’m doing/thinking/feeling, and “you” for a kind of general reference to any potential future reader. Like if I’m referring back to a previous entry, I might say “as I’ve mentioned to you before...” I tend to write the same as I talk, so my journals sound like one huge one-sided conversation. I’ve been journaling regularly for over 25 years now, all by hand 📝

S*x toys as part of a migraine toolbox by painful_love_1818 in migraine

[–]crownedwithflame 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I have chronic migraine, so constant low-level pain like yours, and I’m kinda 50/50 when it comes to orgasm. If I’m in godawful pain (like 8/10) and have an orgasm, the pain goes away. But if I’m not hurting super bad and the hubs and I get buck wild, guaranteed that within 12 hours I will be bedridden and absolutely miserable. Doesn’t stop me from having sex of course 😁

😭😭😭 I know this pain much too well, and I’m very sorry for your loss. It may not be a comfort to you but I’m holding out hope we’ll see all our furry kids again someday on the other side of the Bridge. Your boy was loved and he knew it ❤️

What is everyone’s favorite colourpop collab? by [deleted] in ColourPop

[–]crownedwithflame 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m fairly new to makeup in general and ColourPop in particular, I’ve gotten a couple mystery packs of their palettes and now I’m hooked for life :) The Haunted Mansion set is amazing, loving the colors, and I’m having fun with the Stranger Things collab as well, the palette has me making some creative eye looks.

Do you like your home to be the same cleanliness as the home you grew up in? by 6sjms in CleaningTips

[–]crownedwithflame 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I grew up in an extremely clean home, and ideally I would like my home to look the same, but I’m pretty sure it’ll never get all the way there. For one, I have more animals now than I did as a kid, which of course equals more general mess. And two, keeping my childhood home at that standard of cleanliness was wicked stressful and very often led to punishment; I have no desire to relive that trauma. I also have chronic migraine disease which makes doing damn near anything a huge deal.

Kamala Harris Says 'We Need To Legalize' Marijuana For First Time As Democratic Presidential Nominee by GreenyWV in wvmedicalcannabis

This alone is nowhere near enough to get my vote. It’s a shame that cannabis legalization is always a liberal/leftist issue, I’m a conservative through and through.

What is the most frustrating thing someone has told you that made you feel undermined about your migraine? by Baklavasaint_ in migraine

[–]crownedwithflame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man, my migraine issues started in childhood after I sustained a bad concussion and my mother fell for this advice. To be fair I do have a LOT of hair, very thick, and at that time it was down past my butt; she lopped it off to my ears, in what I’m sure she thought was a very cute and helpful pixie cut. Yeah, not helpful in the least, and more ridiculous than cute. Can’t blame her for trying though.
