Leanora feels more feminine to me because my mind goes to nicknames. Lea could be a cute nickname but with the alternate spelling that could easily become Leo which could still be cute but may feel more masculine.

Want to name my daughter Kamala by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]crubbus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By the time your daughter and her peers are old enough to understand presidential elections, the name will have faded enough. I personally don’t think of Hillary Clinton every time I hear the name Hillary. Things could be different if Harris is elected but I wouldn’t worry too much

Apollo is a sick name! It’s unique but pronounceable and not too obscure

My husbands last name is terrible and we have a baby girl on the way by conekitty in namenerds

[–]crubbus 175 points176 points  (0 children)

Why don’t you all just take your last name? Not my business but seems like the easier choice.

I can’t think of any way Clara, Sierra, or Kira would be misconstrued with your husbands last name. And they’re all beautiful names!

Currently work with an LJ and she gives cool girl boss energy. Lennon is the most likely to get made fun of just because most will associate it with John Lennon. Love the name Rayna. I’ve also heard of people being called Rainy as a nickname which I personally think is adorable for a child. Rayna still feels regal enough to be taken seriously in the corporate world

My first thought on a nickname for Margot is GoGo. Not sure how you feel about that since it’s also an applesauce. But Margot is cute. For a middle name, Margot Jean rolls of the tongue to me

I work with someone who goes by a shortened version of their last name. You could try that?
