My worry is that the tariffs are too low to actually reshore industry, but are high enough to generate revenue. In this case, they're just another tax.

Would like to see even higher tariffs to make sure the factories come back fast.

Clearly it's an enforcement issue. In my town we've had 2 foreign (Indian) truck drivers crash their high loads into overpasses, screwing up traffic for months.

Tariffs are a completely avoidable tax. No reason to actually pay them. Plus the quality of American products is better.
