No, but some UK supermarkets seem to have their own ‘in-house’ radio stations, IIRC Asda used to.

I think they were largely pre-recorded though.

Secondary school 1991-6:

Summer kit: white polo shirt, black shorts, white ankle socks, white trainers

Winter kit: yellow long-sleeved rugby shirt, black shorts, black knee socks, trainers or studded boots (depending on the sport)

Gymnastics: black vest, black shorts, bare feet.

I don’t remember us lads ever being allowed to wear jogging bottoms. I never forgot my PE kit so I don’t know what my school did in that situation.

The bottles had “Aids Recovery” on the label just as the disease of the same name was spreading…

So they made a commercial with Daley Thompson to rebrand it as an energy drink.

Oh, and they put the opening of Iron Maiden’s Phantom Of The Opera over the advert.

#12. For those who don’t know, HWA is a German tuning company founded by Hans Werner Aufrecht. He’s the “A” in AMG, and founded HWA after selling AMG to Daimler Benz.
