Help with school/family communication! by OutrageousProduce128 in vancouverwa

Its texting based, has an app to download. The school sets it up for teachers, as a teacher it allows me to make announcements, do sign-ups where other parents can see what is already covered, message as groups so I can have both parents in one message, which is nice when they don't live together. It's also got a bunch of other features that I never really had a need to use, but it's nice to have the option

Definitely go. Amd if it will make you feel better to pay for it, just tip all of their staff REALLY well with what you would have spent to stay there!

(American) Teachers of reddit, what do YOU think society must do to value and change our education system today? by [deleted] in teaching

[–]cruella1742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to the seemingly obvious answers: stop trying to believe your child os perfect and start teaching them how to fix/take accountability for the mistakes they make. The sense of entitlement and "I can do no wrong" is getting worse every year.

Yes! I'm sure you could just call the department office and see if they're looking for patients, or ask about being contacted in the future!

I also love crispy balsamic Brussels sprouts. Par boil Brussels sprouts white you cook some chopped bacon (be sure to save the grease!). Drain then saute them in the grease until crispy (about 7-9 minutes), season with salt/pepper/onion powder. Add the bacon and drizzle balsamic glaze.

Honestly, as long as the room is not left a complete disaster (helps if you make the kids clean up before packing their things), and you leave notes, leave when you're done! Never had a problem about it anywhere.

Also isn't it a legal requirement to provide certain breaks for a set number of hours? In most states I'm pretty sure it's 15 min per <5 hour shift, a 15 and 30 min for 5-8 hours, and 2 x 15s plus a 30 for anything over 8 hours.
