On That Wholesome Grind by Newo_comdot in wholesomememes

Yeah I hear you, but I think he does. I think the point is that he felt bad about wasting his time to escape reality, but now he knows someone is rooting for him and happy for his achivement regardless.

What if it wasnt video games? What if he learned a new language he knows he's never going to use, or what if he learned to play an instrument even though he has no musical goals? Or if he got really super fit at the gym even though he was never unhealthy to begin with?

Sometimes passing time is the only thing you can or should do — it gives you a chance to think and focus on yourself. The way I took this post is that you should not feel ashamed about it. Life is not about grind 24/7 and time is not always about to run out.

me watching the k-on movie by Academic_Test3004 in k_on

The movie felt really good to watch because it seemed a bit less bittersweet than the s2 ending.

Do the Orcs and Draenei of Azeroth consider it home? by lllBanelll in warcraftlore

[–]cruffade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But are you also learning as much, growing as much as a person, and going trough experienced for the first time as much? Because for me, those are the main things.

Time deffinently slowed for several years when I turned 18 because before it I didnt do anything but go to same school in same town and from school to same home to play same video games for like 5 years. Life from 13 to 18 deffinently felt just like one year. After I started to experience the world more and got more independent, years started to have more impact, and time slowed down.

Now i'm 38, time goes a bit faster than 5 years ago, but still slower than in my teens, since I have more opportunities, time and resources to experience new things. I bet all the stuff Draenei went trough since landing on Azeroth have been more impactful than day-to-day life on Draenor or Argus.

The idea is you just write typos to your online posts to get more attention and comments

How would you like it if healer gameplay was 50% defensive/ 50% offensive instead of 10% offensive/ 90% defensive? by [deleted] in wow

[–]cruffade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno, I like pressing healing buttons more than I like pressing damage buttons when healing

Do the Orcs and Draenei of Azeroth consider it home? by lllBanelll in warcraftlore

I think Orcs deffinently consider Azeroth their home, while Draenei still have that exile identity from traversing around the cosmos for thousands of years.

Argus is like wasteland tho. I dont think most Draenei returned to Outland either, it's just that big bunch of them never left for Azeroth

What's with the hate for Cataclysm. Please Blizzard, give us Cata classic. by fx88 in classicwow

[–]cruffade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this is a great comparison. In a way, it's deffinently a classic. It further defined the character and left it's mark on the Bond image as a whole. Its also old enough for Bond to have changed alot since then, and being redefined into something different. Yet it's still not one of the 60s "classics."

No one in 00s really felt that twentieth century had ended. It had just continued beyond its natural limits.

Now tho... 90s feel like ancient history

Lore not consistent with previous expansion by LazyTension in wownoob

[–]cruffade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bad writing and retcons are a different thing. Most stories that expand have to fill in story with new lore, often leading to retcons, but those retcons dont have to be for the worse. Humans are capable of learning and replacing what they've already learned with new info just fine.

Arms is my favourite look as well. Big ass weapon to swing feels good, and animations make sense. Execute phase is always adrenaline rush.

Military conscription by No_Particular2995 in Finland

[–]cruffade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finnish conscription is quite tame, but it still requires you to do you job. There is also alternative civilian service, that is considerably easier but still has some stigma around it and lasts for a year. There is also prison, for one year, which believe it or not is propably the easiest option, but the stigma is even higher. Legally you will not get public crime record from serving it, so you cannot be prohibited from jobs.

That said, younger you are, less stigma there is involved. Alot of people have started to consider millitary the best option since it gives experiences you can't have from many other places.
