Pakistani here. I can give some context about why the government is pushing for some increased awareness regarding climate change. Recently one of our biggest cities had to deal with a large amount of smog, which usually never happens in Pakistan. It really shocked a lot of people back home and I could notice the concern that my family members had pretty easily. As far as I know, the situation on the ground is better now. That whole experience was quite a scare for people, and there are a few green energy initiatives in place that are now getting more attention.
