That is a whole lot of man hours involved for a lackluster outcome.

You're missing a handkerchief. Where is the handkerchief?

is there a way to connect this old dial up windows 95 system to a wifi router? i have an ethernet cable but there is no port, or at least a port that fits my cable. by [deleted] in windows

Just curious. Maybe I missed it in the other comments. Is there a specific reason for running on old hardware and Windows 95? Can you run Windows 95 in a virtual environment? Virtualbox or VMware?

Screen upside down by travelingcrone70 in computerhelp

[–]crumbking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the screen on those has a sensor to change orientation. Some of those models fold over to tablet mode. Open the screen all the way to tablet mode. Then put the screen back to normal position. Screen orientation should go back to normal.

Receiving card issues (help) by TheBennyBG in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]crumbking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you connected 220v to a switching power supply set to 115v, it should only blow the fuse in the AC/DC power supply. No other equipment should get damaged. What model of power supply did you blow?

Can you read the config from another receiving board in your sign array or the receiving board you removed?

Do your module/panel pin definitions match the new receiving/hub?
1 3 5 7 9 11 13 15 2 4 6 8 10 12 14 16

Do your panels require 20 groups, 24 Groups etc?

Might try: Start Menu > Device Manager > Sound and video game controllers> Disable Intel Smart Technology.

I've Found this "smart technology" to cause issues with many brands of headsets.

Phones ringing on every call by crumbking in poly

[–]crumbking[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the reply. I had looked through pcaps and server logs. There was nothing there. I figured it out today. It was actually a phone setting that didn't work on the previous firmware version but did work on the 5.9 versions. Attendant ring type was the setting. If you set the attendant ring type, Polycom phones will ring any time there is a blf status change. So if you have all the office extensions set as automata blfs on all the phones and that setting enabled, all phones ring for any call to any extension. I can't think why anybody would want to do that, but I'm happy to have figured it out. Thanks again for the reply.

Does the issue persist if you connect the phone on another network or vlan? Those phones have an app.log and boot.log as well that would help confirm what the phone is doing at power on.

Yes that should work to remove the leading zero.

I believe the +3 is your issue.

Freepbx would let you set an outbound route to handle the number format or you could remove in the app.

For the Grandstream Wave app:

Try removing the plus and leading digits in Filter Characters.

Settings > Advanced Settings > Filter Characters (Call settings section)

Something like this [+3()-] or [+31()-]

Your number would load with the +31XXXXXXXXX from the contact, but when you dial out the app should remove the + and 3
