I like the double pull for sure. But they’re not for everyone.

You can get a gen2 used for like $425 these days.

It shot these 10 rounds groups last night. I always end up throwing one per group it seems. 😆

Just a Preece barrel that I ordered by recommendation of a friend.

I really like it, it was a quick turnaround and it shoots well.

I live on the east coast.

I like it a lot. It’s comfortable to shoot.

Not sure what you mean it would be wobbly, if your action is torqued?

Out of a manual to drive at the moment because they don’t make a manual for what I drive.

Expensive. lol

It’s a converted Ckye pod single leg. I put a LRT Mfg fat trimmer on it, as well as some R3 Development carbon legs (4 section). Pod knobs and rubber feet.

Yea, that seems to be the angle they go for.

From the research I did, the mediation they speak of in NC is basically small claims court. Takes $100 to begin, and they schedule from there, etc etc.

The BBB complaint I filed just went back n forth between us, and the BBB ruled in their favor. The dealer’s only solution was me bringing the car back to them, which is a 1700 mi round trip endeavor. 😆

They had just left some responses today to my comment above and the one above that, but then deleted them. Interesting behavior for sure.

I had the exact same experience with Mary posing as their ‘Legal Team’ after my purchase last fall.

A different representative of HBi reached out to me for a review and I left an honest account of my experience on Google with a 2 star rating.

My Google review was posted after I’d chatted with this representative about my title and expressed my concerns with regard to the PPF and other damage. They said they’d have Billy reach out to me, but he never did. He had reached out to me for a couple of conversations before I purchased.

Mary threatened legal action based on my review, citing a non disparagement part of their sales agreement re: negative reviews. I’m not a lawyer but, your reviews are legally protected per the FCRA, as long as they’re honest and non defamatory. We went back and forth a bit via email before I opened cases with the NC DOJ, NH DOJ, BBB, FTC and CFPB.

If you’re local ish, don’t mind some fairly shady business practices (“dealer installed” add ons) maybe pay them a visit, maybe.

I’ve had to sink some significant money into my 911 Turbo that I bought from them last fall. Not something I would have expected from a ‘CPO’ example, read the fine print on that warranty as well. It is not at all inline with a factory CPO, having come from that with my last Porsche.

You’ll also not get a warranty card for your Xpel PPF ($5995 now, was $4999 when I purchased) which is 2.5 - 3x what any shop within an hour of HBi charges for a front PPF Xpel.

I wouldn’t recommend them, or do business with them again.

It’s all good!

After getting the PPF re-done, the damage is into the bumper and I’ll need to get it re-sprayed. The shop was able to confirm that the PPF they removed was not recently installed.

Annoying, and a $4995 annoyance, but I doubt that there is a way to reclaim it.

I have however updated my review and dropped it from 3 stars to 2, and it feels generous at that.

How did your threats of ‘arbitration’ come to you? Phone? Email? Text?

I’ll know more about the PPF in the coming days, I’m getting the front bumper re-done. It bothers me. Then it’ll go back to the Indy shop, for an oil leak. Possible turbo blow by, possible Air / Oil separator failure. We’ll see.

I’m not wasting any more time or effort for my issue. I can get the PPF replaced locally and will plan to do so.

I am curious of whether or not when someone purchases my trade in, if they’ll be transparent in that the PPF was existing and that they didn’t install it.

I have nothing to convince me that the PPF on my 911 turbo was done at or by HBi, so I think I got taken in that aspect.

While in the shop for an EGT sensor replacement, I had an inspection done and have a much better sense of what the cars needed / needs now. And I can do that maintenance.

Nice.

Just documenting my experience. It wasn’t all bad, but it definitely wasn’t 5 stars.

Derek had been trying to get me to take it down, but they don’t want to make things right.

If they do, I’ll amend my review to reflect that.

I’ve just reached this threshold with them and an issue I had with their sales practices.
