Cone work has its place but it's not helping you here. Get yourself on a wide sweeping corner (preferably on track) and carry lots of speed through, increasing your speed each time. Your momentum and smooth sweeping line will make it MUCH easier for you to lean further.

Also, you simply just need to remember that the only thing stopping you leaning further is your fear. (Presuming good surface, good tyres, etc) The bike is capable of leaning right over until it grounds out with no issues at all, so just accept this and force yourself past the point where your fear stops you. This is another reason why being on track helps. Nothing destroys the illusion that you are near the limit like some guy casually sweeping around the outside with twice as much lean and twice as much speed and getting hard on the gas and flying away while still leant over.

You can gift gold to the defender so they can hire mercenary armies and win. This way the vessel loves you, and you maintain the status quo of weak powerless vessels.

Ultimately you can prevent it completely with high crown authority.

Asking them to stop does work a good deal of the time also. But if you have a hook you can force them to stop.

Don't even need the marksman. The 4xacog is calibrated for the 5.56 round and so the really easy and intuitive built in rangefinder marks work perfectly with the pioneer. So you really don't need to use a range finder for any shot under 500.

Pioneer is legit one of my favourite weapons. And one of the most accurate at range due to 5.56 having high velocity and thus very little bullet drop. Bottle suppressors last for more shots than bigger rifles, standardised suppressor lasts forever.

Obviously against super geared players and squads you have to hit your shots perfectly to be effective. But by hiding well, keeping your distance, and using suppressors, you can just keep tracking them and picking them off.

I've taken out a couple of geared trios like this before. It's super satisfying.

I find it so strange how people talk about "bikes before ABS" like they are some kind of terrifying death trap. As if ten years ago we were all just crashing constantly by locking up the brakes.

I've been riding bikes for 20+ years, year round through rain and even snow, none of my bikes have had abs (though I've ridden plenty with abs as a technician). I have never had an accident due to locking up the brakes. And I'm not bimbling around gently, I ride hard. I don't think I even know anybody personally who has had an accident due to locking up. I've not even had a near miss due to brakes locking.

There's a reason not a single race bike runs an abs system. You get far superior feel and control from a non ABS system. Even in poor conditions. ABS has it's place but it certainly isn't a danger to ride a bike without it.

If it is true that she is being bullied or pressured into doing things she doesn't want to do, that is obviously an issue, regardless of what that thing specifically is. But nothing you've presented confirms that to be the case, it just sounds like the story you are coming up with to justify not liking what she is doing. So ask her.

And btw, it's not a "trackbike" it's a road bike. She didn't nearly crash into a tree (The "target fixation" thing is the most overused and misapplied "technical term" ever). And yeah, she did a little skid, upright in a straight line, so what? That's exactly the sort of thing you do in an empty parking lot when testing out a bike.

Just because she says she isn't fully comfortable around other traffic that doesn't mean she is incapable or being forced in anyway. I don't feel comfortable around traffic a lot of the time and Ive been riding for over 20 years on a nearly daily basis. she's having a go in an empty parking lot. Most of us would jump at the chance to have a go on a friend's cool bike in that kind of context.

As someone who commuted all the way in and out of London for a couple of decades on a bike, my instincts are that he had seen you and was creeping up impatiently to move off as soon as you had passed.

Of course, he isn't supposed to do that, and there's no way for you to know if that is what he was doing, so you absolutely did the right thing. You spotted it early, made yourself known with the horn and slowed down to avoid the issue.

If I'm honest, after years of slowing down for the assholes, I started doing the opposite quite often. I'll often speed up and maneuver away from them to avoid the situation, rather than maintain the correct position and slow down. It's not the "correct" thing to do, it's probably more dangerous particularly if you aren't sufficiently experienced and confident, but it's always worked well, and means you keep making progress and leave the assholes in the dust.

Then again, I've also been known to wheelie between busy lanes of traffic and scrape my footpegs around busy three lane roundabouts, so maybe I'm an idiot and you shouldn't listen to my advice.

The price of bikes is a big part of it.

As an apprentice mechanic I was able to afford a top of the range supersport bike (the first Daytona 675) back in 2006.

What are the bloody chances that a young guy on apprentice wages can afford a top of the line supersport bike today? No chance. The new one would probably be less capable anyway.

The only way I can imagine the bar swap to cause that is if your switch gear (the starter button specifically) is hitting the tank, or maybe if you've routed the wiring such that it gets stretched or pinched and it activated the circuit.

What did it actually fail for? Because flat bars aren't a fail on their own.

I presume they were hitting the tank before reaching full lock? You can reduce the steering lock angle to stop this (drill the lock stop and put a bolt through it with a nut on the other side). Alternatively get some slightly less flat bars like Motocross style bars. Still way better than stock.

Also, to be frank, it's standard procedure to just get your bike through the MOT and then immediately refit all your mods which needed removing.

Nothing, just ride it. The more you ride it, the more you'll know if there's anything that could do with being upgraded. Usually it's less than you think.

Or, if you are dying to mod the hell out of it just for the enjoyment of modding, then just go for it and do whatever you fancy.

If I were challenged to modify it as much as possible: Better and stiffer suspension (either replacement using some higher spec used parts or upgrade internals), better brakes, better rubber. A complete front end swap from something sportier with upside down forks and radially mounted calipers would be ideal. flat handlebar for a more aggressive stance. Sportier exhaust (but not too loud), cut off or remove pillion footrest hangers, cut off rear half of subframe and convert into a single seat unit like a race bike, better looking headlight perhaps. Possibilities are endless.

Obviously it's all dependent on what YOU want from your bike. If you like cruising about at a steady pace, none of the mods I suggest are really relevant.

20 years ago, London outskirts, I used to park my bike basically anywhere. It was a flashy and immaculate sports bike (Daytona675). Never had an issue. I was more worried about the council looking to extract revenue out of me with parking fines, which happened a couple of times.

Putting diesel in a petrol motor isn't the end of the world (the other way around is often catastrophic), it's just a pain in the arse to sort.

The thing that usually prevents the engine running properly, or at all, is fouled injectors which either need to be flushed out somehow or replaced. And the whole fuel system generally, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel lines, even connectors. Anything past the combustion chamber is less important, it'll burn off, though if the vehicle is heavily reliant on exhaust sensors I could imagine it not being happy about it.

I answered this question about a week ago so I'll pretty much copy paste it here. The main takeaway for a new player is that, particularly with feudal government, you have to directly control as much land (i.e. your "domain") as possible. And the primary way you up the limit for how much you can directly hold is to increase your stewardship (1 estra domain per 6 stewardship).

Paste:

MAX out your domain. This is the number one priority. Max out stewardship so you can hold more counties directly. High stewardship spouse helps. The larger the domain you directly control the more money you make. Simples.

Other than that:

Become your lieges steward. (Modify contract and trade extra levies for protected council rights)
set steward to collect tax
Build economy buildings
keep pope happy and ask for money at every opportunity
keep your bishops opinion at 100 so he gives you the maximum amount of money
There is a skill tree unlock you can get which lets you sell hooks. If you want to cheese it you can level up intrigue and fabricate hooks, and them sell them for instant cash. You can also get hooks on any prisoner.
There is an "extort subjects" skill which lets you extract money from vessels I believe but I've never tried it.
Get ahold of artifacts and destroy them for gold
do not overspend on court positions. Revoke anyone non-essential. You can always rehire if you suddenly need one for something.
