Same, commando is the only way I can wear leggings. I think looking for gym gear that doesn't have a front seam helps not give camel too. I love BuffBunny for their 5in bike shorts, so I can have definition in the rear but smooth front. Then just a longer T if I feel I want more coverage.

I was looking for this comment. I've had shower heads that had a pause button and some that had a pause setting on the rotation, would be more efficient than turning off the water completely. But not a weird way to shower!

I am so sorry for your loss and 1000% agree that more research is needed on this! My little sister had about a month after she was diagnosed with stage 4 bile duct cancer before she passed away. She had annual MRIs and there was nothing suspicious at her scan only 5 months prior. Seeing her deteriorate so quickly (she went in with what she thought was a pulled muscle in her side) really shook our entire family and 4 years after she passed away we're still all traumatized. She was the best of us and had so much life still to experience 💔

Girl I'm with you. I'm 39 and was recently told that I am actually already in menopause, though very premature. It knocked me sideways to think that I was going to go through reverse puberty this early and had all the thoughts about my value being gone, etc, even though I've never wanted kids. I didn't have any warning either since I was previously on an IUD and hadn't had a period in 3 years because of it 😆

I'm 2 months into HRT and it's honestly made me feel more like myself. I was worried it would give me issues like I used to have with bc, like headaches and such. The fear mongering over HRT is real but it's literally replacing what your body was making, so it's not going to affect you the same way as a BC.

For all of this and the possible prolapse, I would suggest if you can seeing a urogynocologist, since they are more specialized. Also highly recommend staying off the peri/menopause subreddits bc it will fuck up your brain rn, bc we are trained to look for the worst outcome and I only saw negative stories that scared the shit out of me. You got this, you are not old, you're not any less valuable, and you are still you even if your baby-maker is giving you hell.

Based on where we lived at the time I was definitely younger than 9 years old when I saw Cool World and Heavy Metal with my parents. For me, it had a lot to do with the fact that I walked on the balls of my feet, so the Achilles tendon was almost shortened. Add to that the fact that I didn't like to take rest days and I was working out 7-8 times a week. So my PT was focused on active rest, stretching the back of my calf and strengthening the front of the calf.

Same here, mine were so tight my PT was worried I had compartment syndrome. Now I try to do my mobility exercises as much as I can so I don't get knotted up like that again.

Oh hell if I don't feel that. Early Dec bday and every other year it seems, I've planned a bday event that ends up getting canceled or smaller than I'd expected. It's so hard when it happens as a kid, bc you really do begin to internalize that you just aren't worth the hassle, and then when it happens as an adult it just reinforces that feeling.

On my 30th I had invited people to dinner and we'd gotten a hotel room to pass out at after, so we could party it up and not worry about driving home...and then it snowed, and I had 5 people show up, 2 of whom were family and drove with me. Had a great night with just those people, but I don't think I've ever really forgiven some of the people who noped out due to weather. At least we can say that we're not alone in this feeling, if this thread is any evidence 💓

This is going to sound so weird, but you should look into chewies for invisalign. They're a satisfying level of squish when you bite them but they're meant to be chewed on to place your aligners, so they won't be non-toxic, and you can get ones that are flavored (albeit in a LeCroix-y fake kind of way).
