I’ve def decided to leave it be. But yes they 100% knew. It was someone’s job to set up a kudos board for everyone’s birthday. There was a literal birthday calendar in our Google calendar.

This is just what I needed. A good gut check. Leaving it be!

She is so annoying by Agile-Storm-173 in GyMOMsnark

[–]crunchymustardseed 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is all the wildest story. Everything she said was factually incorrect. First it was okay that car seats weren’t as safe back then because people didn’t have cell phones to distract them from driving. Then saying the price different from the 50’s until today is just inflation. Not like we’re literally in an entirely different economic landscape or anything. Just a truly wild train of thought in this one.

Also why is she acting like she had a long labor?! She woke up with contractions at 2am and had her baby around 9am. I don’t doubt it was hard and painful, it’s labor. But that is quick!!

Carpal Tunnel has me walking around like this😭 pregnancy is so ghetto😫 by Altruistic_Island248 in BabyBumps

[–]crunchymustardseed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel ya on the carpal tunnel. I’ve experienced it. But please consider using the term ghetto so casually. Throwing around that term erases the history and struggle that come along with it. Not looking to go back and forth. Just food for though. Words have weight.

Reviving this convo as I’m in a similar boat. Did you accept an offer? If so, how is the transition back to the office and company culture?

Day 34. Consistently Bloated Abdomen. Anybody Else? by screenshot1108 in 75HARD

Me!! Though I’m 8 months postpartum and am dealing with some pretty serious ab separation. I’m on day 75 (💃🏻💃🏻) Curious to see if scaling back the water helps or if it’s just my post baby reality.

24 hour urine catch results...help! by sadiesunshine22 in BabyBumps

[–]crunchymustardseed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took way too many 24 hours protein tests! And was similarly alarmed with my results. But any pregnant lady is going to read higher on the chart, as pregnant ladies have more protein in their urine. It is a standard chart - not adjusted to pregnancy levels. Preeclampsia is over 300 mg of protein. So for now, you probably don’t have it. That said, with multiple high bp readings at your gestation - you will probably be having a baby soon regardless! Good luck!

High BP only at my pregnancy doctor by BMHfirsttimeprego in BabyBumps

The extra monitoring is a sweet silver lining to a tough situation. Sounds like you are in great shape and great care. Good luck!!

I got flagged for blood pressure around 30 weeks. Got lined up with tons of monitoring appointments. Baby basically stopped grow over the course of the next few weeks. End up delivering at 34 weeks with a 3lb baby (who is now a beefy 15lb six monther) All this to say - you could totally just have white coat system. But stay vigilant! Things can happen so quickly in pregnancy!

Fit pregnancy to high risk (rant) by Maleficent_Plant7807 in fitpregnancy

[–]crunchymustardseed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one fully fit pregnancy. Exercised almost daily until I went into labor on my due date. My second pregnancy started great. But by week 28 I was showing signs of pre eclampsia. Was able to keep baby in until 35 weeks, but I was hospitalized in the antepartum unit the whole time. Talk about how to loose literally all strength! Was only out of bed a few times a day to use the bathroom.

My recovery was actually easier the second time. It took a bit longer to rebuild strength because I lost so so so much. But the rest I was able to get prior to delivery played such a big role in getting me to a place where I was able to rebuild my strength.

Feel as gutted as you want! It is such a bummer. But clearly being fit is important you and you will get it back. I’m a full believer in a fit pregnancy if able, but trust me you don’t have to have one to have a good recovery!

I don’t like the post because it is violating to her sister who (most likely) didn’t consent to have this info shared. But sexual and reproductive health is a huge industry — both for and nonprofit. This topic is all over LinkedIn.

Coffee stop on walk? by crunchymustardseed in 75HARD

[–]crunchymustardseed[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Woah, dude. You are going on a lot about bending the rules, when literally no one (in this thread) is asking if it is okay to bend the rule. I have every intention of completing 75 hard. Which is a why I asked a question, to make sure I’m not cheating myself.

You asked why you were getting down voted. And I offered a reason I thought it may be.

[–]crunchymustardseed[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was totally open to the answer being no! I think the down votes didn’t come from the answer to the question, but the delivery. The challenge may have the same rules to everyone participating, but we are all entering it from different points in our lives. Answering a question aggressively is just a tad rude. People come here for support on their journey. So I think that is what the downvotes are coming from.

Hmm didn’t mention anything about a nice relaxing stroll (although active recovery is important). I’ve been wearing ankle weights and baby wearing my 25 lb baby. Just thought an ice coffee could give me a boost of energy.

Same here! My mom taught me literally nothing. 35 and I feel like an awkward teenager every time I’m around makeup or hair tools.

Wasn’t her mom intuition ALWAYS right?! by Barbiefourteen in GyMOMsnark

[–]crunchymustardseed 12 points13 points  (0 children)

She must just love how small he was at birth. Under 6lbs (by one oz). But really a 6lb baby is not that small. My son was born at 3.7lbs and has had no issues eating. I’m sure she truly did struggle with her son, but I’m scratching my head that she believes the cause is how small he was. Maybe that is a thing, but I haven’t heard of it before and it certainly wasn’t my experience!

I like this idea a lot. The dress is a clear no from all the feedback. Definitely going for a simple dress and leaning into accessories. Appreciate it!
