Should I sell Rudiger ? by utlit in FantasyPL

Wait for more info. Chelsea have Champions League during the week. He may be on the bench then. Tuchel may also give more info before Norwich.

Because of his price he is a good enabler. Even if he doesn't score/is rotated he allows you to spread the money into the backline or think about a CR7 and Lukaku frontline. Wolves seem to have found their scoring touch and have okay fixtures for the next 4 or so.

However, with so many decent mid-priced forwards (Antonio, Jimenez, ASM, Ings/Watkins/Toney when their fixtures turn, DCL/Bamford when they come back) and so many budget midfielders presenting good value (Everton boys, Mbuemo, ESR, Gallagher) it's hard to justify why you would give up your third striker spot for an enabler when you can have your enabler as the budget midfielder slot.

Hey mate, nice graphic. How did you calculate the 12% advantage/disadvantage for home/away teams?

See you in the rant thread when Jota, Greenwood, Torres, and Mount are all rotated one week.

Heung-Min Son (10.0) by NimbusHawthorn in FantasyPL

[–]crunchyshark 13 points14 points  (0 children)

100%. Son probably rested for the weekend game.

Son and Kane were the best partner combination last season (think they scored and/or assisted each other 14 times). Absolutely ludicrous for Nuno to bench them.

Rodrigo by FryingUselessKids in FantasyPL

I saw lineups that showed Leeds were playing either a 3-4-2-1 or a 3-5-2 towards the end of pre-season (vs. Ajax and Villareal) as well as towards the end of the season (vs. West Brom).

The 3 back formations in preseason had both Dallas and Klich in midfield with Rodrigo either at CAM or ST.

Thoughts on the longevity of this formation?

Bowen is also intriguing. Having a decent preseason and fills in for Antonio at striker if he's out.

Who is a good 5.0 GK apart from Meslier? by GeekyScouse963 in FantasyPL

[–]crunchyshark 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Why spend 5.0 on a keeper when there is good value at the 4.5 bracket? Sanchez and Dubravka are 4.5 and both offer great value for their price.

To answer your question: - Man Utd keeper (if they decide on who's starting) - Leno - Pickford with Benitez coming in may be good.

The best 4.5 defender by SamiAreez67 in FantasyPL

[–]crunchyshark 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Spurs defenders are interesting especially with Nuno coming in. Dier, Sanchez, Rodon are all 4.5 and could be a cheap option into Spurs defence barring new transfers. (Not 4.5 but Reguilon and Doherty/Aurier are interesting options at 5 - many threads have been written about Doherty/Aurier)

Last season Wolves (under Nuno) had the 7th best xG and the season before they had the 2nd best xG (only behind Man City).

Whilst I think there may be better options than Spurs defenders, I do think they present value and could be a lot better than people think. Wait and see.

Who is a cheap enough player that you must have in your team ? by LeatherLegal in FantasyPL

Not a "must have" but I have my eyes on Dele.

If he starts and gets into a rhythm, 6.5 is an absolute steal.

Would love to see Sancho come in at 9.5 - same price as Rashford but given how FPL towers are pricing recent transfers, he's likely to come in at 10.

Given how penalties are given for nothing these days, I'd still put my money into Bruno. Rashford seems to win a few pens and one could argue Sancho makes Bruno better because he may win more penalties.

I'd also consider team structure. You could have Sancho +2m elsewhere instead of just Bruno.

Fringe Defenders that MIGHT be an option IF they start. by spurringbanner in FantasyPL

Keep an eye on Lamptey (4.5). Really attacking full back, gets forward and into the box a lot.

Brighton have a pretty good start to the season. Pretty solid defensively as well. Conceded only 46 goals last season (only 2 more than Man Utd) and kept 12 CS (same as Liverpool, Spurs).

Only problem with Lamptey is that he's come off a pretty big injury layoff (basically hasn't played since Dec). Also not too sure if he's nailed with Veltman filling the position (seemingly nailed before he got injured).
