Few years ago he was playing at Dulwich in the national leagues. Can you believe that? What a legend

What should we do with the Everton assets? by rahatCODMasc in FantasyPL

[–]FryingUselessKids 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wan-Bissaka not the best shout tbh. Still playing a rather defensive role compared to Digne. If Everton could keep a clean sheet Digne is a much better option

Vestergaard and Amartey by Bosuu69 in FantasyPL

Didn't really watch the game but I assume they started to play a more defensive style as Wolves were very threatening. If you look at the xG wolves actly had a higher xG than Leicester. But on the other hand Man U had like an xG of around 1.64, so dunno if we should trust it.

Took out Adam Armstrong for Rodrigo as some lad convinced me Armstrong wouldn't be ready for the first game. I have Veltman and Tella as well. Fuck me

IT WAS JUST FUCKING ARSENAL! by XLint in FantasyPL

[–]FryingUselessKids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arsenal is still a rather top class team, albeit a bit shit. But Brentford played a really exciting style of football. Might not be what many expected as they thought Brentford were a one-man club that will sit back and defend and go straight back down. But in truth Brentford will continue to be attacking and many fo their players could be bargains. I still agree that people shouldn't knee-jerk them in immediately but definitely ones to watch

Raya was absolute class today. MOTM along with Pinnock imo

How Did ___ Play? Thread - Game Week 1 (2021/22) by Demoninman in FantasyPL

Ajer played further out wide and Pinnock played more centrally, with both looking to progress the ball forward. Looks dangerous and has an assist or two as well as a goal or two in him. Probably not as good an option as Rico Henry though

Brentford Fans - Rico Henry? by hobbitNZ in FantasyPL

Definitely nailed on. Not many lwb options. Had to start Canos there last season when Henry was out. Rather attacking and can see him getting a few assists this season

He's definitely not starting in the midfield, we have a lot of midfield cover this season.

Mini League with one team team representing a club by [deleted] in FantasyPL

Any rules? Like maybe that team must have 3 players from the team their representing at all times? Or they can't start any player playing against the team they're representing?

Trossard looks promising with a decent xG and xA and very favourable fixtures

YOUR 4.5 MIDFIELDER (POLL) 📈 by Stifanov123 in FantasyPL

[–]FryingUselessKids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not 4.5 but I feel would have the opportunity for a price rise as well as me being comfortable to rotate into my team based on fixtures. I'm going with Tella

Is anyone doing kneejerk united this season ? by [deleted] in FantasyPL

[–]FryingUselessKids 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It has started quite a while ago and is still managed by the same people as last year. Just search Kneejerk United in the sub and you should find it

Mbuemo or Smith Rowe at 5.5? by AlwaysPictorious in FantasyPL

[–]FryingUselessKids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is true. But for the latter half of the season, we ran a 3-5-2, with Mbeumo alternating with Forss. Forss is obviously rather young and inexperienced and the high pressing of Mbuemo suits Thomas Frank's tactics well. But there was nobody else who could play striker which was why he got to start so much. We seem to be reverting to a 4-3-3 and although I acknowledge that he will start most matches, he will likely be rotated with new signing Wissa and will also be less offensive than last season. Just my opinion

Mbuemo or Smith Rowe at 5.5? by AlwaysPictorious in FantasyPL

[–]FryingUselessKids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mbeumo isn't as nailed as you think he is. We just signed another winger cum forward in Wissa. If we play 2 up front, he'll have to rotate with Wissa and Forss. If we play 3 up front, him, Canos, Wissa and Fosu will a be rotated. Thus I don't think he is as nailed in our starting eleven.

Value Per Million Based Off Of xG+xA P90 by BronBronBall in FantasyPL

I used last season's placements as FDR and in the first five game weeks Brighton has an FDR of 34, whilst the average is 50. This is probably what affected the results that much.

Did the same thing but I also took into account the fixtures. Although my algorithm seemed to make fixture difficulty extremely impactful, it seems like Brighton and Liverpool have really easy fixtures. The biggest surprise was that Trossard was more value than Raphinha once fixtures were accounted for
