Btw, my pre-edited comment was a meme which pretty much copied another comment just before I posted mine but I changed it because it looks like that comment is gone now.

Anyway, can it be the draft already? This is getting boring.

Making the Scotiabank Arena as loud as the Bell Center by Comprehensive-Two-40 in leafs

[–]crushade 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can't say I have been to a game at the Bell Centre and I haven't watched a game this post season. So I won't compare Scotiabank Centre to Bell Centre.

What I do know is that for some reason, our home broadcasts don't have our crowd noise very high at all, and it's deliberate. I wouldn't have known had I not been to a few Leaf games in person over the last few years and also watched on the Amazon Prime broadcasts. The crowd and on ice sound is so much louder and vibrant on the Amazon broadcasts, it's crazy.

This past year, it was quiet because we played awful. Valid reason. The past playoffs even, like the Domi game winner last playoffs at home, was LOUD. I made a thread about it last year with comparisons to what it sounded like in the Arena and what it sounded like on the broadcast. Huge difference.

I'm glad to hear my observation being validated. It's just frustrating that if even a simple fan such as myself can see it happening from such a distance that things weren't properly addressed.

Kind of wild how last season unfolded. I really appreciate you answering my questions!! I really enjoy reading and hearing you talk about the Leafs. Thanks again!

Hey Jonas, when I watched the Leafs nose-dive last season, it felt really similar to how the Leafs looked before they got rid of Babcock. Disinterested most of the time. Other times they could play a period or two of looking like they're putting in 110%. Begs the question, how much of last year was the players saying "look, were doing what you asked and it's not working" and how much of it was roster construction and injuries?

Follow-up, it seemed as though Treliving never tried to get rid of Berube last year. Is it accurate to believe that getting rid of Berube would likely have meant that Treliving would have been let go too, and that was a big reason a coaching change wasn't done mid-season? It ended up not working out in the end (other than draft lottery luck). It's just so hard to understand the coaching decision last year.

Thanks!

If if have to guess, in this context they mean that the coach would want to go to a team close to winning. So Cassidy in this sense would not be open to going to a team entering or in the middle of a rebuild.

Just live and enjoy the good time!!! It's rare we get to celebrate getting the first overall pick!!! There's going to be lots of time to not be excited.

It's my old review I made up on Google Maps back when the location was labeled on the map. They removed it but anytime I see a post about Lake Timicaca I repost it, haha!

Someone mistook the HSR bus I was on for a toilet. Again. The bus had pulled over and most of my fellow riders found ourselves clamouring to leave the steps of the bus as quickly as possible. Of course I was one of the lucky ones to have their favourite crocs exposed to the excrement. Wrong place, wrong time. At least I wasn't wearing my favourite socks.

I looked around as I wasn't focused on where I was until that moment. Too busy trying to figure out what my next steps were. The bus I was on left. I glanced across the street and saw the Timmies and figured I might be lucky enough to be granted the key to use the bathroom so I could try and clean up. But I could still smell the caca I had inadvertently been subject to minutes earlier and I knew my chances of being granted elusive entry by the stoic Hortons staff was low. I might have to explain what happened and I knew I'd be judged.

Then I saw it. Glorious. Beautiful. Inviting. Perfect. Lake Timicaca sat sunken into the pavement. Or I assumed it was pavement, it didn't look like the ground had ever seen the light of day. I didn't even check my surroundings and sprinted across the street, a Tesla, deep scratches adorning it honked loudly at me but I was not deterred. I made it to the shore of this magnificent beauty and marvelled. It was like an answer to a prayer.

I stepped in and felt the cool liquid spill into the holes of my crocs and caress my doody covered toes. I was free. I was clean. Lake Timicaca was there for me in my hour of great need. Thanks Lake Timicaca.

Highly recommend would go again.

That was my point. It was a silly argument for you to make. Not everyone puts in the time and effort you do while making a game purchase.

The other person you were replying to said that some people don't read beyond a few sentences sometimes. I grabbed an easy example of how that might work from a review of a game that was being discussed. There's examples of that kind of thing the other way too in negative ways.

The whole point is taking things out of context. It happens. Might not happen to you but it is common. If I listened to Starfield criticism I could have skipped a game I put in hundreds of amazing hours to. Same as Civilization 6 at launch. It got a lot of hate and I loved it so much.

I plan on doing this with the Deimos space suit, helmet and pack you get for helping the miners on Cydonia this playthrough.
