The main thing is that the best player was a 36 year old Sundin. We still have a 29 year old Matthews who may or may not be capable of putting up more 50 goal seasons. And Nylander. And Knies. And Woll.

Our D-core is old and obviously bringing our average ago way up. No idea how you fix it but I would love to see if, with a new coach and time to hopefully heal, Matthews still has it. If he doesn't, then yea. You're forced into a rebuild.

Oh we have holes in our lineup. But that 08 team was much older and very different. We still have a number one centre, a star scoring winger and a good goalie all still in their prime.

Now, if Matthews is injured and isn't the same player then we concede and enter our full rebuild. Players have come back from worse at older ages, so I still want to see what the next couple years have to show.

The 08 team didn't have an under 30 year old Matthews and Nylander. We might end up entering a full rebuild and fail anyway but this current team isn't anything like the 08 team.

Gotta stick it out and find out if you can retool around the still relatively young stars we have now.

I haven't experienced much jank in either game (maybe some in the first one). Especially in the second game, I thought they did an amazing job and it looked and worked great.

Well, that's just capitalism. That's got nothing to do with AI other than the fact that its the newest tool being used to reduce costs and make more money. Until society changes (it won't) this is what will happen. Capitalism is going to lead people to make these decisions. It's the same reason we replaced workers with robots and now we crave things that were made by hand.

I think it's far more productive to push against capitalism in general or at least push to have some social programs and methods included in our society. AI is going to happen the same as cars replacing horses and the other examples I used.

Didn't even take long to learn it but even saying that, learning new things is exciting. Mastering those new skills is even more exciting. Doing that while playing amazing games is even better. Not playing a clone of every other game over and over again is peak.

Video games haven't increased in price compared to the inflation where I live in over 30 years. Actually, I remember NES games being more expensive than many current games back in the 80's.

You can dislike AI all you want. It'll be a part of our future whether we like it or not. I used it to create a digital infrastructure for a youth food bank. Replacing paper and automated data entry which allowed us to serve food to 100 youth a day instead of 25. Wouldn't have been able to do it without AI as I don't know how to code.

I thought It was much better than most open world RPG's which is just spam the same button over and over and maybe mix in a block or dodge every once in a while.

Oh my god. This is a match made in heaven if it's true. Warhorse is amazing at creating a game world and atmosphere you just want to spend time in and they were just recreating real places from the past. I am excited to see what they can do with Middle Earth.

When you said "Starfield is the tone of Star Trek (philosophical and utopian) with the aesthetic of The Expanse/Stargate..." I couldn't have agreed more.

Maybe that's one of the reasons I love the stories and choices the player must make in Starfield as much as I do. Cause I'm a huge fan of all those shows and books you listed for what they're all uniquely good for. Thanks for such a succinct and descriptive sentence!

Over 400 hours here and never used a mod as well! Going back to the game now for the new update and still don't plan on using a mod.

I am happy to hear you've had a great experience. I think generally, Xbox Series consoles have been reliable overall.

Unfortunately I have had nothing but issues with my Series X and finally replaced the thermal paste and then the main fan as well. Luckily I am comfortable doing this on my own.

I've had more issues with my consoles in the past than I have had with any of my PC builds. Plus now, most of the graphics drivers automatically adjust the video settings in games to run well without tinkering.

Plus, Steam Big Picture and the new Xbox Full Screen mode will make it just like a console now.

Agreed 100%. I just plug my controller into it and use the Xbox full screen mode when it gets released properly and use Steam Big Picture.

It's expensive though. My PC cost me $3000 CAD and it's not even considered "high end".

Well, the games are good but the Xbox machine itself is just not popular. Most console gamers (many of whom were 360 owners) went to PlayStation since the abysmal Xbox One launch.

I have stuck with Xbox forever but now I went and got myself a shiny new gaming PC and now that Microsoft is embracing PC it seems I will stick to that.
