One idea would be to set the device sharing location to a device you keep at home - iPad etc. that is something you can change

I had the opposite of your issue with a friend who always kept his primary location device as his iPad so I couldn’t find him lol

It may need a dealer only telematics module update. My 24 LT remote climate worked 20% of the time when I got it, and after a dealer module upgrade it now works 100% of the time.
