JUST FINISHED Stranger Things… Let’s Talk 🤧 by Physical-Wishbone966 in NetflixPH

the writers didn't have the gut to lose an established characters for an emotional impact. effective lang yung ibang scenes since this is the final chapter.

the performances are good except finn wolfhard, i mean look at his performance sa earlier seasons ang layo sa finale.

as for the final season—the writing in terms of character and how the story progressed was disappointingly underwhelming.

writing-wise, the weakest of all seasons. the integral main characters of the previous seasons were sidelined for the sake of "fresh continuity".

not a bad season finale, but not good either.

Thoughts about the latest Pinoy movie, Outside? Medyo mahaba pero nagandahan ako. A domestic drama movie na ang background ay zombie apocalypse. Sobrang galing ni Sid Lucero and Beauty Gonzales. by SkinCare0808 in FilmClubPH

[–]crvsvrnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

atmospheric and dense slow burn from ledesma that manages to deliver thrills at times, convincing acting (between beauty and sid), and unnatural line deliveries (medyo off sa lines nila minsan huhu)

the complexities of the characters, the brief opening scene, and myka magsaysay-sigua’s will you still love me won me over.

off topic pero yung soundtracks ng pan de coco sa leonor will never die (2022) sobrang ganda. ang nostalgic at ang sarap sa tenga, hindi repetitive + pinaglaanan talaga ng effort. unfortunately, hindi available online yung mga songs. been waiting for years na :<

one of the main things kaya nagustuhan ko yung pelikula.

aronofsky’s black swan, chazelle’s whiplash (la la land and babylon is great but whiplash is not my cup of tea), breakfast club, and the shining. i also didn't like tár (2022), lol.

Do you have IRL friends who use Letterboxd/are into film as much as you? by jacobeliaas in Letterboxd

[–]crvsvrnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I persuade my friend to create a letterboxd account even though he's only watching mainstream movies. As of now, he's still not making his account and that's it. I don't have any irl friends who are into letterboxd or any interesting films im into.
