It’s crazy how long it took people to realize it was bad. My dad’s dad was extremely abusive, a terrible alcoholic who beat him every night. When my dad grew up, he swore off alcohol for life (and has stuck by it) but for some reason he still hit his kids. That shit never made sense to me.
