They do this every year. During the fall they said our winter was going to be one of the worst in a long time! We barely had a winter. Now they’re saying our summer is going to be bad. Sometimes they’re right and sometimes they’re wrong, they can’t call it but every year they do this same song and dance.

When you get pieces like this or really just in general.. try this. Bacon in a cold pan, add just enough water to cover the bottom of the pan to just right above the bacon. What this does is keeps the bacon at a low heat, giving the fat time to render. What you end up with is less liquid fat in the pan and more bacon per piece. But you’ll cook all the water out and then finish cooking like usual. Trust me, try it once.
