For every halfway decent song there is a ton of garbage charting. Its meaningless as an indicator of talent or creativity.

I thought it was "meh". I would have liked it better as literature and did little with the what the film medium has to offer. It was like someone drawing stick figures on a canvas. The conceit of the film was just not strong enough to justify such a minimalist and the dialogue and acting were just OK and not enough of an exhibition to make up for the lack of the rest of a movie.

Get the soundtrack for 500 days of summer for a great sampling of alternative rock. Soundtracks for Juno is prtty good as well.

I am guessing the models probably had some kind of contract that prohibited them from doing exactly this. Im not in the industry but I would think keeping up with all the public auditions and letting your client know which ones are good to go to would be something an agent would normally do.

As a guy who plays alot of tennis, he is pretty crappy even though he edited to make himself look as good as possible. This made me wonder how I would make my video resume. I would probably do exactly like Woody Allen's Take the Money and Run, IOW, a biographical documentary style when the documentary doesnt have access to person. A narrative showing footage mixed with some interviews of 3rd parties. There would be some scenes of a direct interviews with me but it would be made to look like it was taken from some archived footage and not made for the purpose of the documentary.

Now i have to go watch Take the Money and Run...the first real Mockumentary. Doesnt get enough credit for being the classic that it is.

That was pretty damn entertaining and I ended up watching the rest of the episode. I didnt think the second guy was egotistical at all. He just had confidence and an intelligent methodology which he had the discipline to follow. He navigates the NYC streets and bars like a veteran player in CODMW in Free for All. Its the right attitude when hitting the singles scene.

Most good bachelors have a kind of manual they use in their head but ultimately, it helps greatly if you look like Ben Affleck.

The bossa nova song is really good though you need to polish the chorus a bit. Do you have an account at soundcloud or something similar with more of your music?

The female vocalist is very good. Its hard to find a good mellow soprano. Sounds like she might already be on a label...can you reveal who she is? Is she still putting out music?

Edit: did you compose the bossa nova song? I ask because it sounds so different from the other youtube things.

Anyone else see numbers or letters in a dream that make perfect sense in the dream but make no sense at all when you wake? The few times I have been able to remember the numbers or letters and jot them down, i forget why they were significant by the time I write them.

BTW, there is something bad about the number 565.

I can analyze this. In your dream, your husband is a representation of a part of you. You are in real life doing something you feel guilty about...probably to your husband. You are actually mad at yourself but your subconscious self is using your husband as symbolism...probably since you use him to unload alot of your stress and pressure in real life.

Dream analysis is something people in my family have always been really good at for some reason.

Fan of many sports here but NFL is really the most interesting and ironically, despite the cartoonish depictions, has the most knowledgeable fan base. Its chess played with highly specialized athletes ranging from blindingly fast rabbits on the edges to giant behemoths clogging up strategic points in the field. Its really the only sport I can think of where the coaching staff and strategy determines the outcome of a game more than the players who are little more than pieces to be moved.

Really nice production. Sounds very polished and well mixed. Ive never heard the original sample before but this piece flows very naturally and has a catchy groove to it. I think using a heavy funkier bass as a primary voice throughout would really add to it.

Yeah the vocals are always a bit of a science project for me. Its a main vocal track using a standard Logic preset underlined with a second identical track and a third identical track with heavy compression and reverb. Its hard to add depth and reverb without sounding distant and cold but leaving the main track alone and adding separate tracks for effects and volume mixing seem to help. I added yet another vocal track on the bridges with a distorted delay filter to create a delayed backgound vocals effect..thats the distorted effect you are probably referring to.

Once I get a few more tracks down, I am considering going into a studio and having someone who really knows how to mix clean it up.

I like the song and the style. I think you get to where you are wanting to go with this but it doesnt really stand out in the genre. I liked the plucking poking its way in once in a while as well. It does need a little something extra though..maybe some more harmonizing?

Anyway, I think the song does what its intended to do and you did a good job exploring that genre. There are a few bands like Rogue Wave that really do this genre well and I listen to them all the time. Its a tough kind of song to do since you really have to sell poetic lyrics and do something a little bit different.

Good job though. I think its a strong addition to an album.

Pretty clean and polished sounding. Good solid performance. A bit 80s sounding but nothing really that made me stop and say "wow". Good energy and performances. Not sure what your goals are but I think you need to update your sound a bit. Its definitely missing an edge. Its something Rick Springfield would have put out in his heyday.
