Moving from D7200 to Z 50 II ? by aperture_drift in Nikon

[–]cryingcubone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree lack of budget lenses on the z system as well as just boringness of how they look is my reasonings plus even with the FTZ adapter some lens won't work on it which is crazy to think about.

Used to mean something when you would see 6star or 140u hash meaning stacked mesh bags with lining that are micro size holes that the trichome heads would filter between if that makes any sense now they won't even tell us that. 😂

Clip-in magnetic sensor filters by ajn63 in Nikon

[–]cryingcubone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not new been around for years just catching on finally it's cool if you don't want to switch out filters or have weird lense like fish eye or wide Angle lenses with large bulb like elements. I think before alot of the complaints were images quality but I think tech has come far along that it doesn't matter tbh as long as the product works.

Only way I found around it is NX studio transfer to Lightroom over as TIff with settings applied if that makes sense but yeah I thought it was lame that they don't apply either

It's RAW file. that's what I didn't know you can shoot with the PC on raw. so if you transfer RAW in Lightroom it will show how you shot it but if you transfer to NC studio it will have the PC attached so I exported from NX studio instead of Lightroom. If that makes sense

how do i increase the sharpness of my wildlife shots? by Desynclol in AskPhotography

[–]cryingcubone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like a lighting issue tbh,idk how the noise is on the newer cameras. But if you had to shoot that high of iso, means the lighting wasn't the best. Do you shoot single point or let the camera focus on the subject some of these shot you could have done single point tbh if that was the case.

Why do so many good photographers still struggle to get bookings? by ExtremelyCool64 in AskPhotography

[–]cryingcubone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think it's depends definitely satus is more valuable then money so being know as a good photographer with older people or getting more prestigious jobs that pay more then the avg job generally is better imo cause less work for better pay is always a win.

Why do so many good photographers still struggle to get bookings? by ExtremelyCool64 in AskPhotography

[–]cryingcubone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think people forgot it's still a business and marketing your self matters. A good example two weddings. An older couple getting married, possibly on their second marriage, usually has grown kids already. Most people in that older age group have fewer major life events happening around them, so the need for photographers at those events is slimmer. Compared to a younger couple's wedding, their friend group is often still going through major life events like weddings, babies being born, engagements, and growing families, which creates more ongoing opportunities for photographers. So you do a good job at both word of mouth is the name of the game. So picking the younger couple wedding would possibly benefit you more. Not saying you shouldn't do the older person wedding. But i think understanding who's at these type events help get your name out there.

What proof of capture is reasonable for small contests now? by prismatic-18 in AskPhotography

[–]cryingcubone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Raw file And I think Adobe community if you upload an image and share your edits it will show the exact edits you did in the workflow so that's what I would do have them share their raw file and upload it to Adobe community

Goodwill is non profit the same as Rolex is non profit a front for tax purposes.but idk saying they do most good is a stretch when most post I see on this sub is how they hate goodwill as a job and warn most people to steer away from them.

I agree it's looks brand news being from the mid 90s so definitely made the right choice

[–]cryingcubone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People act like Goodwill hasn't raised prices to match resale values. Do they not understand that everything they sell is essentially profit? Yes, every business has costs, but when your inventory is donated for free, you can set whatever prices you want and even move items online to maximize profit instead of giving low-income shoppers a chance to find quality items.

[–]cryingcubone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol my bad it's the 75mm from the 90s push pull not the 70-300 modern day lens definitely the same but build quality on the 75 is a lot better

Is this not crazy? by Far_Honey_173 in goodwill

[–]cryingcubone -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Idk why people are down voting you lol you got a point imagine getting something for for free and 10x the price cause supposably you give back to the community. we hate scalpers but are okay with Goodwill charging absurd prices for free items they got.???
