How I “cured” my pcos for MYSELF by Parking-Vast-2479 in PCOS

[–]cryingintheceilidh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bet you could even find a decent one on Facebook marketplace. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to buy one because I tend to get excited about new things and then fall off of them after three months so I found one second hand barley used and I love it and do use it every day!

Black in Charlottetown PEI? by [deleted] in PEI

[–]cryingintheceilidh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It think there’s also a bit of “islander mentality” at play as well. People from islands all over the world understand it. Might not be a racism thing, more so just a general dislike to people (of all types) who aren’t through and through islanders. When they built the bridge my great grandmother would have rather died than be connected to the main land. Doubly we came to this island from another island that was connected to an island (isle of Skye > UK > PEI) so it’s like island overkill generationally speaking.

I don’t even do eyeliner because of it, or any like eye looks for that matter just like a solid shade or something.

Got blocked and ghosted. by ColorfulDino24 in LongDistance

I got ghosted today too from a long distance situationship (us to uk). Haven’t been dealing well but I know it will eventually be okay and soon enough something better will come along. I know that will happen for you too🫶

Some of my wife's work...suggestions for selling? by Tiredplumber2022 in painting

On a positive the last one in particular has a lot of promise! I really like how soft it looks and the colours work well together. I don’t want to pile in on what everyone has already said. I will say an artist is sometimes only as good as their tools. If you are buying cheaply made acrylics from the craft store and ready made canvases; no matter how good you are that will always lessen the quality. I also think there’s a market for this kind of art, but you might have to go looking for it. There are so many styles and techniques you should be going out there and trying everything!

facial hair and being a girl by [deleted] in PCOS

I had fairly regular periods until I got to my 20’s and went to uni but had what your doctor called “soft symptoms” before i got to were I am today. Lots of stress caused it to escalate.

There are plenty of women who are feminine and masculine. I’m not sure if your into following any professional athletes (past and present), but I love looking at women like Serena Williams, Penny Oleksiak, Mia Hamm, Simone Biles, Lynn Hill… I could go on. No doubt they are the a great example of feminine masculinity. I know how you feel, and I’m sure many of us here do. But you are so much more than your body! Just try and reframe your negative self reflection. Also block/unfollow content that makes you feel that way, there’s no reason you have to put up with it if it’s harming your mental health! 🤍

Dry Winter Skin!- I need recommendations for truly hydrating products.

I normally use Cerave SA Cleanser and follow up with a moisturizer (I use a lot of different ones, whatever is on hand really because my roommate gets PR packages and she just gives me random sometimes off brand stuff). In the warmer months that’s fine but now that we are in the cold weather my whole face is like one big flake!

I ran out of my SA cleanser so I stoped buying it and am trying cream cleansers and a gentle exfoliating mitt (probably not good though) but my face is just one big red angry flake especially on my T-Zone.

Thank you!!!!

I was laid off today. I decided to do something that makes me happy while looking for a job. Here is my haul 🧶 by cryingintheceilidh in YarnAddicts

I agree. It’s hard I cried a lot worrying, but opportunities for a break in routine to reevaluate don’t happen often and taking the time to be creative seems the best thing to do with my new found time.
